Klein tools makes one very stout tape measure! I have them in both standard and metric. (My fellow Americans, the metric system is FAR superior, and it is well past time for us to adopt it. Trust me...everything in metric is divisible by ten. We have ten fingers and ten toes. This makes counting easier. If you measure length in millimeters, you can use whole numbers instead of fractions! All of the weights and measures are based on the physical properties of water instead of the width of some long dead king's big toe or the weight of his fourth wife's placenta and afterbirth from the first prince. There are more bells and whistles on the hook end of this tape than most other tapes have all together. The hook end is accurate in both directions, butting the wall or hooking the wall. Ability to hook from either the bottom of the tape (normal) or the TOP of the tape! If that's not enough, the hook is magnetic to boot.The marks are clear and plentiful, having both imperial and metric scales. Plus, the back of the tape is fully marked for the entire length. An extra bonus with the markings on the back of the tape is that they laid out in the same way as a grade pole.The protection coating is a little noisy, but it's very thick and runs the whole length. Unbelievably, the stand-out is no joke either, it will easily handle 13 to 14 feet without fail.I really can't find anything wrong with it, other than that it's kinda heavy and bulky, but that's to be expected...it's a 7.5m/25ft tape for crying-out-loud.

Very durable. The tape itself is rigid, so you don't have to worry about it wiggling all over the place. Good quality build, and the magnetized tip has been helpful!

Sturdy tape. Doesn't bend until you feed about 8 feet out. Easy to read. Wish they made it in a left hand model.

This is a great, smooth tape measure and has a great reach.It doesn't have the auto-lock my DeWalt has -- I kind of assumed all good tape measures would have that, my mistake. If you read the description, it does not say it has auto-lock.It does have auto-decelerate to prevent it from whipping back.Nice to have metric and inches

Purchased because not even Lowe's had a metric AND imperial tape measure. This is the perfect tape measure for any DIY project you might have in the home or on a job site. Feels very good in the hands, magnet is strong, and the tape barely flexes as you extend it out. 10/10 recommend.

I bought this mostly because of Youtube roundups comparing tape measures and other Klein Tools that I own. The stand out distance on this thing is amazing! The only minor annoyance I have is that the spring retraction is so strong on this thing that slowing or stopping the tape measure is kind of scary. There are two brakes. The momentary one on the bottom and the locking brake. The locking brake on the front is a little difficult to engage with one hand but works well enough. Definitely would recommend.
