Worth the money.
My garden looks like a carpet because I consistently drop these seeds when it rains.

Defective seeds - rate it zero
Not one seed sprouted ! I’m a retired landscaper and I prepped the area for the seeds before I received them after getting them I spread them and lightly misted the area every day for several days and not one seed sprouted ! I since went and bought another bag at a retail store and spread those and these are popping up already . These I ordered were blue so I know where they are in the area , the other bag I got was just seeds and I can see them clearly sprouting . I contacted the seller to which they responded I needed to make sure tge area was prepared correctly and watered correctly, I told them I landscaped for 40 years and know how to prep an area . I wouldn’t suggest these seeds at all ! They are defective!

Works great, as long as you pre-germinate
Water the hell out of it during the first season. Like any Bermuda, once it takes hold, it really gets going. I recommend pre-germinating in 5 gallon buckets as well to kick start it. That really seemed to help.

Preparation/water/patience
Prepped soil with PGF Complete, Humichar, Chicken feed crumbles, watered soil regular for a week. Raked soil to loosen top 1-2”. Seeded, lightly raked, seeded again lightly and then covered with a light coating of peat moss. Watered 3 times per day except two days where we had torrential downpours. Some seed washed away but the peat moss saved most. Tremendous germination started 5-7 days after seeding and just exploded. Very happy. Seeded on June 3rd. Northeast Louisiana.

Assured growth but not fast
I put this down starting on my backyard and about 18 days I almost gave up because I saw germination on the 19th day. I am a first time lawn diy’er so I wasn’t really sure what I was doing. I spread some on my front lawn and forgot to water it but it still germinating when I started watering that side of the lawn 5 days after spreading the seeds. I am new to all this but I hope this helps new diy’ers.

What is the real cost? More than double. UPDATE
FOURTH UPDATE. Now late Aug 2024 and still the same, many of the original plants are still standing as a single or triple stem. There are no runners anywhere to make a yard, just thin stems. THIRD UPDATE June 2024. Second year since planted, it is green, but soooo thin and makes no new runners. It grows up, but not out. We have had 30" of rain in 5 months and has been fertilized with Scotts. It should not be lacking anything. The native Bermuda around here is growing well. Second update. Has been planted for three months now. Seems to be strange grass, it grows up, but never makes runners. Have mowed it three times at abt 2.5" tall, fertilized twice, water enough that it does not dry out, it stays a medium green. The native Bermuda that just happens everywhere is green and growing 10 foot runners. This stuff is really just sitting and making no effort to be like other grasses.First update: Planted in April (Texas), temps not ideal still very cool, nights 50F. Watered 3x daily for 3 wks. Got a good start in most areas, some spots not at all. At 10 days some germinated, maybe half of the seed sprouted. It does look finer than the common Bermuda. In the product description it does not say how much seed you are getting. The 10 pound bag has 41% seed, the rest is coating and fluff. So, you get 4.1 pounds of seed for the price of $90 making the cost per ounce $1.37. I have bought seed of various grasses, flowers and forbs many times and they are usually 85% or more pure seed. I have not planted the seed yet and not sure what to do. The instructions say 2-3 pounds of "seed" per 1000 SF. Does that mean 2-3 lbs. out of the bag or 2-3 lbs. of true seed?
