Good product for the money
This is the third time purchasing this buoy and line. The first two have performed quite well. The line is a sinking line which is highly desired in this area of many boats going by. Would buy again if needed.

An excellent floater for crab trap

Exactly as described.
Came with a float and heavy rope. Great for crabbing. The top sinks to avoid boat propellers. The buoy is great for marking your property. Make sure they're tied on correctly!

Worked perfectly
Used this on a shrimp pot in the gulf and it worked as advertised. The rope sinks and the float doesn’t

Buoy is less than 10.5” long, not the advertised 11”
It looks nice, but the red and white buoy is not the advertised 11” long. It is less than 10.5” long. In California, Department of Fish and Wildlife regulations for the 2024-25 Recreational Dungeness Crab Season state that the main crab trap buoy must be at least 11” long. I am returning it.

Great package, and the right kind of line
If you want to be nice to other boaters, buy this type of line. Poly line floats on the surface, or just below, and easily gets tangled in propellers. This package is a good deal -- it's almost like getting a free float. Note, however, that what you're getting is the raw parts -- the float is not tied on, as shown in the photo. Not a big deal, but the photo isn't 100% accurate.
