Good Straps
these are very long - I had to cut them form my purpose. If you need something under 5 feet - get something else because these straps are to long to close.

Functional for Truck Cargo
These straps are as durable as they come. Handy for securing lumber and other cargo in truck beds, and their bright color makes them easy to see in dim light.

Best straps I've seen - great handles
I looked around at a lot of styles for straps and decided I liked these best so I bought them. I like that they are bright yellow since I can use the extra to trail behind my pickup truck as a streamer if the item sticks out of the bed with the tail gate down. I also like that the straps have the Stanley logo on them. This logo is only on one end of the strap, not repeated over the length of the strap. The best feature of them that I like is the handles: (1) because they are large and rubber coated (much much better than brand where the handles are bare metal!), and (2) because the smaller one says "Release" on it (because sometimes if you have not used these in a while it's confusing as to which handle does what and how to operate the handle (do you squeeze/pull, or rotate?). The handle is far more comfortable than the bare metal handles of my prior straps. I like that the straps are wider than some others.I watched a video on how to use them. Apparently I'd been using my old crappy ones all wrong. You're not supposed to put the loose end through the slot in the axle and wind it up. That will make the coil of strap get too large and possibly slip off the axle. What you're supposed to do is to hook the strap with the ratchet on it to one tie down buckle to your truck, then hook the other strap (the one without the ratchet mechanism) on the other buckle in your truck. Then pull the strap (non-ratchet strap) up across your load to the axle of the ratchet. Then fold the strap over, like it's doubled over with the "loose" end going back towards the hook on your truck or trailer. Then, and this is the important part, put the FOLDED OVER END of the strap through the slot in the axle (instead of putting the loose bare single end of the strap through). Then crank the large handle a few times and it will wind the doubled up strap around the axle. Wrap about 3-4 turns around the axle to make sure it's secure and won't slip. Doing it this way, you will have less strap on the axle. With the excess strap on the loose end, you can tie it around other items in your truck, or let it fly/stream as a warning to drivers behind you.Overall, a high quality product with nicely labeled, and comfortable, handles. I would definitely recommend them.
