Translation class a must

I used the 3rd grade version for about 3 years before changing grades and I now have the 4th grade version. I use this as morning work for when the students first come into the classroom. I like it because it's different every day and it's short so it doesn't become too dull for the students. Also, it covers many of the language arts concepts and is a terrific review.This newer version comes with a tracking chart for students but I don't plan on using it. (It's on the bottom half of the Friday sheet.)Because of this, I wish the company would print two Fridays together so I can run them off together and actually use both halves. It's a lot of wasted paper to only want the top half for my class. For this reason, I tend to skip the Friday reviews altogether.

I love this book! It's really helping my son and, because this is 'extra' work after school ends, and the assignments are short and sweet, so I don't have to fight him to get one or two done a day!

While this is not exactly a "grammar" book, it is well thought out. The book does not give five pages of adjective exercises, then five pages of adverb exercises, etc., like many text and workbooks. The student studies / corrects entire sentences at a time. It means that the student has a reason to remember the rules, because he is using them in context. We do not use this brand only as a review. We use them, with a little extra explanation, in everyday schooling. All our children love the variety, and the fact that the concepts are joined and mixed in everyday sentences.In short, the book provides more opportunities for using the principles studied, rather than just fill-in-the-blank scenarios, which are quickly forgotten.If you as a parent / caregiver are not sure about grammatical principles yourself, this will not be the book to use by itself. However, with a few printouts / clarifications off the internet, it can be used by anyone.

This book has 36 weeks of daily warm ups. Each day has a different set up, so the students will not get bored with them. However, every day there is at least one sentence to be corrected. I plan on using this in my classroom as daily warm ups, and the students will do one a day in a warm up notebook.This book also comes with a free e-book. The free e-book has the skills for each of the warm ups for this book, as well as activities that can be use in small groups or stations. I would definitely recommend this for any 4th grade ELA teacher or parent!

These books are amazing and helped my kid with school English grammar especially now that he was going to fourth grade where lots of writing is expected.
