Battery compartment catch broke
This is a great sized device and, when you can get it to work without whistling, is good. The switches are a bit fiddly for my mum as she has arthritis but not a problem as I just switch it on and off for her. However the catch on the battery compartment has snapped off and won't hold the battery in. I've sellotaped it but it seems to whistle more like this. We purchased in January but didn't start using it until March. I think for £27 I would expect at least 12 months usage.

Only for TV amplification
I bought these as I have noticed I need to have the TV sound on high which disturbs my Partner when we watch a program-I have adequate hearing to communicate and do not have problems in a shop environment- From the description I though these would be ideal for my needs- to use only when listening to the TV- I feel the item I received was not the one described in the advertisement-- The battery size required and enclosed was different to the one described in the write up- The sound quality was very poor- After trying to use them with my TV I got a headache as I could not isolate the TV sound from the surrounding amplified noises in the house-The switches did not make any difference- But worst of all there was no instructions as to how to fit the ear buds- I could not fit the wires into the earbuds, they seemed to be for another instrument- Overall I cannot recommend these for the purpose I bought them for- I could not get this to work properly.- I returned mine the next day
