NRSV New Testament and Psalms, Burgundy Imitation leather, NR012:NP

It really is like the size of a longer phone in a case with a cover on it.The ribbon makes it really convenient to read and the leather-like cover goes over the edges of the pages a bit in it's size; it makes it feel safer. The corners of the pages are cut to be rounded so they seem less likely to get damaged.I put off buying this for a while because I kept hearing that the text was too small but I'm so pleased with it now that I've actually bought it.I really like the way the Psalms are given a description and there are instructions like "do not destroy" where I think it's probably by a person long ago as to how the Psalm should be regarded, though I don't know.People complain about how the word "brothers" is translated to "brothers and sisters" but I think that's a silly complaint. I mean... come on guys......... (guys, meaning women as well!)I really think that's like how we use the word 'guys' these days. I think it's like how the word 'Latinos' can mean men and women, but then the word 'Latinas' would mean only women.The way we use words is different from language to language, country to country, city to city, and from times to times.I love it. <3

I call this my "Derringer". I carry it around in my Jacket pocket and pull it out at all kinds of times and in all kinds of places. From McDonalds at lunchtime and in shuttle-buses, it's always at the ready. The NRSV translation, is of course used in many C of E churches, and is one of the better translations around these days. The leather binding makes it durable. If you're looking for a NT and Psalms to carry about in a pocket or handbag, this is the one to go for..

This is a really nice and handy New Testament. Build quality is very high, it feels like something of luxury in the hands. Paper isn't too thin and opens out well enough even with it being a narrow width for portability. Only criticism is that there is no ribbon marker! This is such an oversight by the publishers. The New Testament might not be very long, but on a product with the quality of this and the beautifully sewn binding, to omit the marker is frustrating! Otherwise five stars, and would still recommend. Would make a lovely gift.

A beautiful New Testament for presentation to Confirmation Candidates. Font is small but readable. They are handbag and jacket pocket size. I will be buying again for this next years candidates.

This little book is slim and just fits into an inside pocket. The text is very clear to read.

The good thing is that I bought this New Testament for the purposes of comparison, so it was never intended for main use.Definitely one of the greatest insults you can level at God is to produce an agenda based version of His Holy Word. This version of (what is supposed to be) the Bible is riddled with woke drivel that alters God's message to man. E.g. the first instance of the first qualification for overseers has been removed. Fortunately they were unable to remove other instances of that qualification later in the chapter.When I told a friend of mine (a Roman Catholic) that I had bought this New Testament, I found the derision in his voice, as he said, "I wouldn't use that version!" to be very interesting. Now I know why.God's Word is sufficient, it requires no alterations or improvements, and it demands that none be made!The National Council of Churches of Christ in the United States of America didn't listen!

I like NRSV New Testament and Psalms. Its small enough to carry with me wherever I go, I would be happier if the print were a little bigger. Bridie
