Laing Watkins E5 Low Flow Hot Tub Circulation Pump 10-0102-K

So far, so good. I just installed the pump and it's running fine. FWIW, I'd say it's mechanically identical with the original Hot Spring pump on my ~2010 Grandee. I found a leak in the housing with the in and out fittings and was able to swap the new head onto the original motor body. I ended up installing the whole new pump, but it fit perfectly. The dimensions all around are the same, so no worry for me about extending tubing, etc.

My only concern about this pump is the amazingly high price for a simple item. Nevertheless, even though it is an off brand, it worked perfectly in my 12 year old Hot Springs Grandee spa. Since I was worried about getting a replacement for this old spa, I was pleasantly surprised that this fit into the spa perfectly.

This pump puts out more bubbles than the one it replaced which I like.The price was better than the original air pump.Make sure that your spa is drained 1st & have a wet vac at the ready because those lines are lower than the spa bottom & water is going to leak when you pull the old pump.

Some plumbing rework may be necessary. This E5 pump is physically smaller than the SilentFlo 5000; with the distance between the intake/suction and the discharge nipples being roughly 1/2” less. There was no “give” in the lines and this caused me to purchase a length of hose to replace the suction hose allowing the successful installation.

This pump already stopped working after about a month. Previous one was in there for years!

The pump outlet connection is a little farther from my heater. Plan to shorten the hose leaving the heater to allow the heater to move towards pump or you will need to lengthen the hose between the pump and heater. Not a big deal.The shipping was by USPS, and once again my package took the scenic route. My local distribution center put it on the wrong truck and it took an additional four days to deliver.
