Favorite Watercolor Brushes!
To be honest, these are my favorite watercolor brushes. They absorb a lot of water but maintain a fine-point tip. I love the control I can have in every trace without having to dip the brush every second in the paint.

Amazing Synthetic Sable-like Watercolor Brushes! (Vinci Brushes 5598 Casaneo Large Round)
I cannot stress this enough—do not underestimate the significance of brushes when it comes to watercolors! I've had my fair share of using generic goat hair brushes from Pentel, thinking they would suffice. Man, was I wrong!Let me tell you, the difference is night and day once you get your hands on a quality brush like the Da Vinci Casaneo set (Large Round Set). It's a game-changer! Don't believe those who claim brushes don't matter as much as the paper or paints. They clearly haven't experienced the magic of a top-notch brush.Whether you're a beginner venturing into the world of watercolors or someone who's been stuck with cheap brushes for far too long, trust me when I say this: Treat yourself to the Da Vinci Casaneo set. You won't believe the difference it makes in your artistic journey. The paint effortlessly glides onto the surface, laying down a buttery-smooth layer, while the brush snaps back to a precise point, striking the perfect balance between water retention and snap. The only regret you'll have is not purchasing these sooner.Elevate your art journey with this awesome set! Cheers!

I Think I Like Them...
To be honest, I am an entirely new watercolorer. I went back and forth between natural and synthetic bristles, and decided on these because I figured it's hard to go wrong with da Vinci. I'd say my only complaint (aside from the description showing the wrong image) is that they don't hold as much water as I'd like; however, I'm a sucker for those muted, washed-out colors. Regardless, the handles are impeccable (love the no-roll design), and I can tell they will hold up for years to come with the right care. Overall a good choice if you want a bit of variety along with quality and don't want to spend a bundle on brushes.

My new favorite brushes!
I have an embarrassingly large collection of watercolor brushes—mostly natural hair (kolinsky sable, red sable and squirrel) and until now, had never found a synthetic brush I wanted to use.The Casaneo brushes have definitely changed that. They have a fabulous point that allows fine detail even in the largest brush, hold and release water beautifully, and have the perfect combination of flexibility and snap for me. I am completely sold on these, and find myself reaching for them over my “nicer” more expensive natural hair brushes.

Better brushes than others I've used
I don't know if they are long lasting, because I've only used them for a short time. So far I love them and rate them highly as quality brushes. They are great for detail and fine lines. I had greater success with my watercolor details using them.

I just don’t like casaneo brushe I guess
So, the tiny round brushes come to a point, no problem. But from a #4 up, it starts to get difficult. At #6, I never get a sharp point. Yeah they’re thirsty, but I’m a beginner & I need that fine point. Maybe more experienced artists know how to use brushes like these more than I do. The problem I had with these is they’re all so tiny. The #4 is the same size as my #2’s from other brands, and they’re all so close to the same size. Barely distinguishable. And it doesn’t feel like they hold as much water & pigment as I expect, but it could just be that they’re small brushes. I don’t know, I give up on daVinci. I like their Petit Gris but that’s it.
