Yamaha High Torque Clutch Spring for G1, G2, G9, G14, G16, G19, G22 Golf Cart

If you have a stock (10 hp or less) engine, then this is not for you! If you have a large powerful upgrade like the 433ss snowmobile engine in mine- THEN THIS KICKS A@@. The original could not keep the 40 hp from slipping at power. the clutch would just open up all the way while slipping till it hit top gear and tried to engage then with a huge pulley speed difference so the drive belt never had a chance to grip. The spring is different in the sense that it is way stiffer and the ends of the spring are flat. The original had half inch bent tines at the end that lined up with each side of the drive. This does not cause a problem, I installed this on a g2 but this goes on many models/clutches. Make sure you install the spacer on the inside of the clutch between the tranny, it goes a certain direction and the splines line up. The snap ring does not get re-installed at all. Watch the video at diy golf cart it isn't exactly the same clutch I had but was the same principal.

I liked the ease of installation. Seems to work well. Lost some top end,but that's to be expected over like the product.

Sent in different packaging with no spacer included. I specifically bought this GFK one to get spacer with it. Contacted GCK and they said its not their issue, its amazons. They didnt bother to answer if i returned this would the next order include the spacer. Dont waste your time or money with GFK, they cant be bothered to assist with their amazon storefront. Taking my money elsewhere
