These things are wild
Tried a random recipe that called for these- never having them I thought it would be an interesting treat.They were. They are firm and can be zested. They are salty, sour, and a bit bitter. They went really really great on the dish, and I'm excited to bring these out whenever an over the top lemon is needed. These things are wild!

Convenient but I don't like the flavor
I don't like the flavor because they have a faint scent of cleaning fluid - I think this is common for commercially made preserved lemons. I have started to make my own.

Not for me
I couldn't get past the smell. They smelled like lemon pine sol (had a chemical smell). I diced them and threw them on a salad. It also tasted like chemicals to me. Maybe I'm using them wrong. I'll make my own next time.
