So Far, So Good. I read a lot of the other reveiws and tried to avoid making mistakes. I let the machine rest for a day in it's new position before turing it on for the first time. I ran about 2 days worth of ice through it to get out the "plastic" taste, before getting usable good tasting ice.It's now a favored appliance! Each batch seems small and non consequencial, but in about an hour's time, there's enough ice to stuff a lagre quart size ice tea glass full of ice. The mahine will refill and go to sleep before your ice tea is ready for a refill. We've started a bag of ice in the freezer, incase two of us needing ice at the same time. The ice is a bit "wet" and freezes togeteher, but a sharp rap of the ziplock bag on the counter solves that when about to fill your glass.Be careful whe re-inserting the ice tray, as if it's off just a little bit, it will trigger the Ice Full sensor, and put the machine to sleep. The tray needs to be "front justified".I like that I can make ice out of whatever brand of bottled water I'm using for the day. So if Drinking brand A, it's not diluted with ice from tap water or some filtered source not quite of the same taste.We're finding that it's not entirely a waste to let the last batch of ice for the day melt back into the water tank. It keeps the water colder and leads to larger ice pellets, than if the machine starts with room temp water. Same for filling the machine: Keep the fill water in the fridge, before feeding the machine..

The ice maker in the picture was not the same when it was delivered. I order this one because it was the same one I had before it stopped working-I liked it. False advertisement. The one that came is cheap. It is louder that the original.

Amazing ice maker! Couldn't be happier! Bought on a whim and have not regretted for even a second. Has been working non-stop since I got it and my kids love it. Our fridge did not come with an ice maker so this was the next best thing. After reading reviews I decided to give it a try and have loved it since. My kids drink so much more water and all the neighborhood kids come over for cups of ice. I'm constantly yelling at the kids to keep their hands out of the ice machine, secretly glad they're going for ice and not candy ;) Even I (who hates drinking water) have made some pretty big steps toward more water. The first few batches of ice that came out of the machine kinda had a plastics taste and I was kinda nervous. But now that we've used it so much there is no more funny taste. I think it just needed to get the newness out. Overall great purchase! I was able to get even a little cheaper because I had amazon points to use!

This icemaker was from the resale store. It got delivered with parts missing. Amazon made this right immediately. I immediately ordered a new one which is just about my best purchase this year. I am now one of Amazon's best fans

I saw so many mixed reviews on this ice maker, I almost skipped it. But I really wanted one for my new travel trailer and this seemed to be the best fit. I am an ice lover! You will never catch me with a drink without ice in it, a lot of ice in to be totally factual. This thing is nothing less than awesome!! We are mostly outside enjoying the outdoors. Every time we leave the RV, we fill three tervis' with ice and water. We still cannot out use this thing. In fact we keep emptying it into an ice bucket in the freezer just to be sure we stay ahead of our needs. As others have said, since it is "wet ice", once in the freezer it tends to freeze together. A $2 ice pick has solved that "problem". I rarely write reviews, but this one deserved 5 stars and wanted to let others on the fence know to absolutely give this one a chance!

I only had the ice maker a month when it started making a noise in the middle of the night. Now the ice cubes are soft which make it seem that the top isn't closing tightly.I wouldn't buy this again and I can't return or exchange it because it over 30 days.

We moved into a new apartment and the fridge does not have an ice maker. We drink a lot of water and use A LOT of ice. We tried using ice cube trays but just couldn't make enough ice for our needs. We tried buying ice but keeping bags of ice in the freezer took up a lot of room. We were desperate to find a better way to meet our ice needs when I found this great counter top ice maker. This machine makes ice so quickly! We can make a round and store it in the fridge in a gallon sized freezer bag. We never run out of ice now & we're all so happy to have ice cold water. This is perhaps the best thing we've ever bought for our family.
