These things definitely work. We never see any signs of fleas on our rather over-petted pussycat, and I’d be the first to notice if there were. I am a sort of flea magnet, it seems. I only have to be within jumping distance of any cat or dog with fleas and I’ll soon start scratching at those tell-tale, itchy, little red spots, all in a little line, that are a sure sign of a fleas’ grazing lunch. But we’ve been using these collars on He-who-must-be-obeyed for about seven years and never seen so much as a suspicion of these little horrors.Interestingly, they seem to be effective against ticks, also. We live in a remote part of the Highlands where deer ticks have become an increasing menace in recent years. (The deer have too, and that’s a related problem.) However we’d never seen any sign of any. Until, that is, Mr. Magnificent managed to lose his collar one time and it took me a week or two to get around to ordering another one. But I ordered it at once the day he came in with two enormous bloated ticks hanging like fat caterpillars off his belly. Yuck!Since then I’ve made sure I always keep a spare.One important thing: I always change these collars regularly. I change them every three months (give or take) when worming him. He seems to regard it as a reward for good behaviour when being given his tablet!I find it easy to make sure it is loose enough to be safe (and cut off any excess bit of collar after fitting it) as evidenced by him twice coming home without one. I simply make sure I can easily get three fingers under his collar and that it looks like it would easily slip off over his ears.Lastly, he looks very handsome with his fed velvet collar glowing against his black fur, something he seems somehow to know. And it must be comfortable to wear (I worry about the comfort of those plastic ones) or not only could he remove it if he wanted, but I’m I’m quite certain sure he would!

I ordered this collar specifically because it was red to stand out on my smokey grey cat. The description said it was red, the order confirmation said it was red even the receipt that came with it said it was red however it wasn't red at all, it was kind of a teal colour instead. Other than that it was fine, delivery was quick so apart from the colour not being what i expected everything else was spot on.

My lovely kitty actually likes these collars, I think she enjoys the velvet texture and the bell, she looks ridiculously cute with it too.

I always buy Beaphar collars, they are soft, so kind to the skin

We've used these collars for years with no problems, but this one fell apart within days of purchase. Not sure if there's been a change of supplier, but the quality is not good.
