Saved my session! Don't be Hesitant
The media could not be loaded. I was a little hesitant to buy this speedlight unit because I watched a million reviews and they all said the quality was great at first, but over time it does break. I photograph mainly in studio, but on the occasion I do weddings. I got this unit as well as two YN560 IIIs. I chose to make the jump and purchase this YN560 IV because it can act as a Master for the YN560 IIIs I purchased. When they came in earlier this week I left them in the boxes just because I didnt need them for a while, but had a situation in studio where my strobe wouldn't fire due to my trigger going dead. I couldn't reschedule the session so I immediately put this on my Canon 6D hotshoe and set up one more YN560 III. They worked seamlessly together and I couldn't have been happier. This situation assured my trust in this light. The quality and functionality is perfect for what I needed. I cant wait to this unit at my upcoming weddings. The light up screen, buttons and easy set up were all perfect touches for this unit. When you first turn on the unit you will hear the noise the unit makes as far as the standard sound. You can turn it off easily which is amazing. I have had units where I had to google how to turn it off which is super annoying. The diffuser makes it even better because it does soften the light a bit more. My shadows were less punchy when I place it over the unit. It comes out the packaging with the diffuser already on it. I took it off to check the light out and was able to put it back on very easily. I did read that some people have had problems with the diffuser, but I had NO ISSUES WITH THE DIFFUSER!I'm beyond satisfied with my purchase!

Absolutely great option and very inexpensive compared to the brand flashes.
I've been using these for a while in multiple configurations, as slaves, masters etc. And they have yet to fail me. The only thing they could improve a little bit is with a decent instructions booklet to set them up for the various configurations they can be used. I mean, they come with instructions, but they are very basic and you may have a hard time trying to figure how to configure them in a specific way. Other than that, they are beautiful and reliable. I have some rechargeable batteries that I use with these, and I have never run out of juice in the middle of a session. I can absolutely recommend them over the crazy expensive branded ones.

Powerful manual flash that is holding up well
I've paid in excess if $500 for speedlight that were not any better than this. This is a great no nonsense speedlight that has zoom, incremental flash power levels, an improved battery door that feels secure and durable. The flash even came with a descent diffuser and a case. You cannot beat it for thr price. I'm using it mainly for macro and its been extremely reliable and powerful enough to shoot through my diffuser with pleasing results. This worked out well because it uses a single pin and works on all of my digital cameras; Pentax k1, Sigma DP2 & DP3 merrills, etc.

AMAZING Flash!
Wonderful flash for every skill level. I am just getting in to taking photos with cameras other than point and shoot. I was able to get a Canon 7D from a friend of mine and this was the flash he suggested. After reading around there are very few PROFESSIONALS who don’t recommend this flash. Compared to $500+ it’s amazing this flash can compare to the name brands.Only thing is the camera can talk to the flash so you can’t meter with it but it only takes a couple pics to dial in the flash power. Normally I leave the flash power alone in most situations like in the house, at 1/32, and I change my aperture or other settings. Other than not talking to the camera it has pretty much every other feature you could ask for and is more than enough for the amateur photographer. The photo I added to this review was taken in my loving room on a rainy nasty day. We also have LED lights which add a weird color to pictures. I used this flash with the diffuser to bounce off the ceiling and angled about 45 degrees to my right as well. One note is to keep your shutter speed low or you won’t get that good ambient light in the background. Mine was at 1/60 for this picture. I also took it with the basic kit lens 18-55 at 5.6f so I was very impressed with how well this turned out. Can’t wait to use it with some better lenses and during the holidays! One note, I do take my pictures in RAW and process in Canons DPP software which is free. I’ve never done that until the last week and with a little reading you can easily make your pictures look way better than the jpeg the phone creates. It took me maybe 3 minutes to make a few changes for this picture.Again though, I would highly recommend this to everyone! It doesn’t feel cheap, the menu is easy to use and it has ALOT of flexibility for any situation.

Great flash!
Being the amateur photographer that I am, I couldn't get myself to spend hundreds of dollars on a flash, especially knowing that flash is something I will use only once in awhile. So I looked around and finally settled on YN-560 IV and I was more than pleased with it. This flash with its diffuser worked perfectly for my Sony A7s and the recharge time was quick enough for me. Even though it's manual and doesn't have TTL, I like the fact that it has all sorts of different functions that will make this the must-have flash for your photography gears.A few downside that knocked off one star for me were:- I've had the hardest time on taking out the build-in diffuser. Thank goodness for the other diffuser that comes with it...- When the diffuser is attached to the flash, it won't fit into the nice case that comes with it -- it'll slightly be taller so you won't be able to close the top. I would think that if Yongnuo is selling the two in a package, it would have enough space for it but sadly it doesn't.Overall, I'd highly suggest this flash to any amateur AND professional photographers!
