This is the best pee alarm to buy.
This system is great! It's far more affordable than the other kiddie version that does the same thing- the pads are big and wash easily. The alarm is simple and LOUD when it's on full blast. My kid still manages to sleep through it, but it at least would get me up to go get her up. I got tired of washing soaked undies and I suggested that she go commando at night after the first few nights... after YEARS (she's 6) of waiting for a dry night, it has finally worked. It's really the undies thing! This alarm helps too. If your kid wets the bed every single night (sometimes multiple times), try having them wear no bottoms. It's been like magic for my kid. When she forgets to take them off before bed, she will have an accident. The conditioning of years of diapers and pull ups has created a sense of it being fine to let it go when the undies are there. No undies... no pee! It's astonishing. I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere...maybe because it isn't profitable. Anyway... whether you're in the market for a pee alarm for a kid or an adult, this system is good stuff. Buy it. Great company!! This thing is way better than the clip-on-the-undies alarm.

Broke after one use
The set came with two pads. First pad worked great first night! Washed following instructions which is pretty much just regular washing. That second night, after our son went to sleep, the alarm started sounding about 10 minutes later. We checked him and he was not wet. We could not plug it back in because it kept going off. I thought maybe it was slightly damp from sweat or something but this continued every night even though he did not seem even the slightest bit damp. The same exact routine happened with the second pad. Now we’re throwing them both away.

Great idea, finicky design
This is a great idea and in the end worked quite well for us, however, the design is quite finicky. Here are some things that made this successful for us.*Pin it to the bed. The mat is very soft and comfortable but apparently my daughter moves quite a bit in her sleep and the first night she woke up with it in a pile next to her and it obviously can't work like that. The sensors are basically in a circle on the square mat so we had no issues using safety pins in the corners to attach it to the sheet and then we had no more issues keeping it in place.* It's not as sensitive as it claims. It takes a moment for the wetness to sink in and the alarm to go off. HAVE YOUR KIDDO SLEEP COMMANDO. I can't emphasize this enough. It was a game changer. It wasn't alarming for us in the beginning because she wasn't peeing enough and her underwear and pajamas were soaking it up before the mat could sense it. Once she went commando it worked perfectly. After she was dry for a couple of weeks we put her back in undies and her pajama bottoms and she's stayed dry.* Beware if your child is a hot sleeper as this WILL false alarm if your kiddo gets too hot and even a little bit sweaty. We had many false alarms. We ended up turning our AC lower and using a lighter blanket and didn't have any more issues.* It is easy for your kiddo to turn off the alarm but it will buzz again after a minute if you don't unplug it. We used our old baby monitor so we could hear from across the house when it went off. She would hit the button and get out of bed and then I could usually get there before it went off again to unplug it while she went to the bathroom.* Get a second mat so you can easily swap it out in the night. We only had maybe one night where she went twice but I was glad to have the coverage just in case.* DO NOT DRY THE MATS. They say you can dry on low but don't do it. It will ruin it. Just wash in the washing machine on delicate and air dry and you shouldn't have any issues. All in all this system worked fantastically once we got past some of the finicky design factors. Our daughter has been dry for weeks after only about 2 weeks with the system in place. We even easily took it with us on vacation since it's battery powered it's very portable. Best of luck to your kiddo too!

The best bedwetting alarm on the market
This is absolutely the best bedwetting alarm on the market. I have tried two other ones before, the first one being an alarm that strapped onto my son's arm and also clipped to the front of his underwear, and the second being the $300 "Therapee" mat system. The first alarm didn't work at all. It came unclipped or just didn't go off at all, plus it was uncomfortable for my son to wear and almost impossible to keep attached to a very mobile sleeper. The Therapee mat worked, but was prohibitively expensive. Additionally, the Therapee mat was tiny, plastic, had an alarm that was way too loud, and was annoying to clean since you could only wipe it off with soap and water. It broke after a few months of use. The Wet Detective kit, on the other hand, couldn't be more convenient. Theat is bigger, reaching both sides of a twin bed, and machine washable. Since the kit comes with two, I can just swap one mat out for another and throw the soiled one in the washing machine. The alarm volume is customizable so it doesn't wake the entire house. Even better, the kit is a fraction of the price of the Therapee mat AND you can buy replacement mats if you needed to at only $20 each. This kit saved my sanity! Highly recommended!

The company was great to work with
The company was great to work with. One of the pads I received wasn't working correctly. I emailed the company and the responded in less than 24 hours and shipped out a new pad the same day. Great customer service! My 6-year-old is working hard to stay dry at night and so far the alarm isn't waking him up. It's definitely loud enough as I hear it downstairs but he still sleeps right through it. I like that the alarm connected to the pad as opposed to underwear. We've only been using it for about 3 weeks so hopefully in time he'll get the hang of it.
