Great product for price
Works really great for in a pinch needing to check temps or of you owned a restraunt and wanted tobcheck grill temps daily or other equipment temps for proper food preparation

First impression - not bad - accuracy under investigation
A ranking criteria I always apply is price/performance. For a temperature surface probe this comes quite affordable. The other obvious criteria is accuracy. What to expect: Standard thermocouple type K In the US has a specified accuracy (ANSI/ASTM E230) of +/- 4 degF (2.2deg C) or +/- 0.75% whatever is greater. Type K is the most popular type since wide temperature range and robust i.e. chemical inert TC materials.Construction: Probe and cable appear to be made out of quite durable materials. Steel part possible a stainless grade. Standard mini connector a correct color for K (yellow)Accuracy: at home I can create only 2 calibration points: (1) ice melting in water: 0.0 degC and (2) boiling water: 100.0 deg C. Later I want to check it on a hot plate and compare with another reference measurement. Will update review at that point then. At first cal point, the reading was exactly 0.0 degC, but at the second it was ca 5 degC off, which I would consider out of spec. Once known, one can adjust for that and perform their own calibration on the meter. However, a different story would be doing a calibration at e.g. 300 degC because lack of a reference. Anyway, chances are that my meter is off, which I need to check at some point later.Response time is another factor. One want to have a temperature probe with a low response time, which is achieved by building a probe tip w/ very little thermal inertia. This one is within 5-10 seconds in equilibrium i.e. at the new temperature, which is acceptable to me. Remaining issue is the accuracy at the high end, which I’ll verify and report back.

I'll sum it up in one word. ''Garbage''!
This thing sucks, it doesn't work nor has it ever worked. If I could have gave it a half a star I would have.

Works well
Very easy to use and had quick results.

Accurate
Very well built, nicely designed.... Accurate

These specialized thermocouples are great!
I needed to keep a TC on an area that was inaccessible by placing a standard "dot" TC. I saw these (there are different shapes) and this one looked about right, but I was a bit concerned with the quality. I shouldn't have been, it far exceeded what I thought it would be. The first test was did it match the other three on the meter (it's a four channel TC meter); it did, perfectly. With the slight curve at the end, it got down into the engine perfectly and I was able to finally get a good reading. I plan on adding the other shapes to have on hand as well.

Love the price but hate the quality of the product not commercial rated...sorry!

It doesn't work with a Fluke 53II thermometer
It's made to look like it will work with a Fluke based on the yellow color. It's labeled type K, but when you plug it in to the thermometer and select type K, the display jumps from 1500 to -OL, and it doesn't read temps. It isn't functional.
