Cheaply made, but unique SSD enclosure.
This is a rather cheaply made and dubious-looking enclosure. Still, it is the only enclosure that could accommodate the Samsung 990 Pro SSD with factory heatsync I pulled from an old Mac Pro (the trash-can type). It worked well enough, after the rather tricky installation (a screw would have been much better.) Too bad the speed is only 10 Gbps. An unexpected plus is that the transparent box lets one see the LED installed on the SSD.The photos show the 990 Pro SSD and the LEDs in the enclosure.

Good enclosure for oversize NVMe Cards
I bought this enclosure in order to accomodate an 8TB Western Digital Black SSD with heat sink. The heat sink was too big to use with my MacMini Dock/HDMI hub (also a good value) so I needed an enclosure into which the much thicker NVMe M2. card could fit. This item fit the bill perfectly and is very fast with USB-C port on the MacMini (and the dock). Transfers between the MacMini and enclosure/card are extremely fast (compared with the NAS drives I use for backup). This item provides good value if you have an oversize NVMe card (and want to avoid having to return it for one without a heat sink). The enclosure also appears to have solid heat dissipation. Only drawback is that it does not accommodate 2.5 inch drives.

Cheap pleasic but works well
I didn't realize this case was going to be this kind of cheap plastic. That's the only downside for me, I expected something a bit better. Other than that, everything else is spot on wonderful.I love the adhesive, heat sink, and rubber straps to hold it all together that are included. I like how the piece to secure the end of the M.2 stick is a quick snap thing, easy to use. All done with no tools whatsoever.I have a new M.2 stick that didn't work in my other aluminum enclosure. It fit, but the drive kept coming up with errors, couldn't be accessed in disk manager. This one, worked perfectly, formatted, and usable.I like that the cable is permanently attached, I get so tired of cables that are separate. On the down side, if it was removable, I could use a single cable for multiple enclosures...If it weren't for the material, this would've been a 5 star product no question.

Works and fits larger NVME SSD with attached heatsinks - more CLEARANCE!
This enclosure was just what I was looking for. I needed one with more CLEARANCE to fit an SSD with a factory-attached heatsink. Most other enclosures are too thin and do not allow for the additional thickness of a factory-attached (unremovable) heatsink - even many enclosures that come with their own heatsinks and thermal pads (which this one has). This one worked beautifully. It's not fancy as it's just a plastic case with no fans or vents or removable cords (this has a fixed C cable), but it more than makes up for it by being usable for me. For those of you looking for simple installation, this one features tool-less installation. When installing, be careful to slip the SSD's notch into the middle slot of the "holding unit" (not clear in the instructions). Keep in mind that you will have to format the drive if it has not been formatted before to get your computer to be recognized. For Windows, this can be done through "Disk Management" (you can type this into the Search Bar). There are YouTube videos to walk you through this.

Fits Crucial M.2 2280 SSD w Heatsink but intermittently falls offline
I bought this to house a Crucial M.2 2280 SSD w Heatsink which I was unable to use inside a laptop. The goal is to use it as an external drive. However, from time to time, the drive disappears for a minute and comes back. All my other external SSDs stay online while this is happening - they never disappear. Tried the laptop’s USB-C port and one in the docking station with the same result. While it’s somewhat usable, it’s not dependable enough for my use. The SSD itself is new and has been reliable. I bought this one because many reported that it does fit M.2 Drives w Heatsinks. Maybe the one I was sold is defective.

worked perfectly to recover my crashed NVMe
I had a Windows installation crash on me. I removed the crashed drive and installed Windows on a new drive, then installed the crashed one in a spare slot. Windows would not recognize the crashed drive. I pulled it out, purchased this enclosure, then easily and quickly installed the crashed drive. I attached the unit to a Linux system and was able to recover my files off the crashed unit. (Make sure you have your bitlocker key saved if you use that protection!)

Useless cord
Useless cord. Permanently attached and extremely short. Not long enough to place anywhere but exactly beside a laptop. Cannot use a longer cord because it's built in to the chip on the case. Trying to Add length using a coupler will cause a loss in performance.

Worked perfect
Able to transfer most data for a customer, another tech had it entirely unusable.
