I like to put my phone in my pocket upside down but the audio plug winds up at the bottom putting too much stress on staright connector jacks. This solves the problem with negligable sound attenuation It also has a mike control circuit. I have the 3-pole version (no mike control) and it too is excellent.

Needed a short extension cable for a ham radio to take the strain off a sharp bend on the audio side of a headset. This cable works perfect.

The package it came in says 4 pole, but it is clearly 3 pole! It could still work for audio only, without any functionality- play, pause, volume up / down, and no mic, which is what I was after... This product is of no use to me!Oh, and when I did try to use it, audio kept cutting out unless I held it perfectly in a specific position in the headphone jack! I know it isn't the fault of my device because I tried it in multiple devices, with several different sets of Bose ear buds, all of which I know work perfectly on their own!I was hoping to use this item to prevent my expensive earbuds from getting kinked when I do physical activities with my phablet in my pants' pocket.

The little extension is an unbelievable addition to my electronics.I was looking for a short ,90 degrees angle,gold plated,flexible 3.5 to 3.5adapter for a very long time,just because I wanted to relief the ware and tearon the MP3's built in headphone jack.Finally,when I've seen it on Amazon,I jumped on theopportunity.This one it looks very strong and well built ,very flexible and shortenough ,is all I need it,is 5" long, wish it was even 3" long,but this one will do the trickwell and beyond,the price is even very low,very happy.Keep up the good work.

Using my headphones while my phablet is in my front pants pocket puts stress on the headphone connector, especially climbing stairs, etc.This adapter solves the problem by sticking out way less. Stereo, volume, and play/pause buttons all work through the adapter. I can even stick my phone into my pocket upside down.The adapter cable is a nice 4mm (5/32") thick, so no worries about flimsiness. The plastic around the male end was too wide to fit through my case, so I had to file it down. Not a problem considering the price and build quality it brings.

While I've only had it a few days (and thus can not say if it will last), it works as advertized. There is a good, positive connection in the female connector (keeps your male connector from falling out or breaking connection), so be sure to fully engage your male end into its female receptacle to avoid sound signal drop out. The cable itself is of a reasonable thickness and stoutness, no flimsy little cable here. Its length is a bit more that I expected, but that is good, as there would be nothing as satisfying as a short cable.

The description says it is a 4 pole cable. The photo shows a 4 pole cable. The product received in only 3 pole. This cable works fine if all I want to do is listen to music, but it is useless for making or answering phone calls.
