Great continuous light for photos or video
Well I've only had it for a day, but I love it so far, and am excited to use it in more real world scenarios. So far testing out the settings it seems to be extremely versatile, especially with the compact barn-doors and colors.I was excited because my other video lights are very small, but I am always changing the batteries. Being able to plug it in is big for me as this is more of a studio light, for a static location.I was very surprised at how much light it put out, something I look forward to utilizing for my video interviews.I used to shoot with a lot of continuous light when I first got into photography, especially with the Lowel Tota lights. One thing I really like here, is because it is an LED, I do not have to worry about breaking the bulb, and feel that it can take a bit more of a beating than those. So for a school setting these would be great options, especially for the price. Plus that it is great for video is definitely a plus here. It could be a great teaching tool.As a professional photographer, already utilizing the Godox brand, I really enjoy that it uses the Bowens mount, which makes all of my strobe accessories useful. And that it is LED, mean that it will hopefully not over heat in the softboxes. Which I did try it in a Godox trip back and it seemed to be relatively cool inside even with the operating temp at 45C.Being able to switch to F from C would be nice, but as it describe operating temps in the manual, I feel better. A gauge to more intuitively know whether it is getting too hot would be nice. But this precision is more than most, which is an amazing feature I think. The barn doors and colors slipped on very easily, I feel very comfortable changing them, even on the 1st try, which is more than i can say about most accessories.I'm glad the light is so bright, to really show though any of the modifiers. The falloff with the regular reflector is not wonderful, but simple augmentation, especially with a softbox will solve this. But definitely something to be aware of as a professional. The light could be used without a modifier with then has a much softer falloff, and I feel safe doing so, given there aren't bulging $500 strobe bulbs. With the Godox strip bank and grid I am getting a much nicer more even light, I am very happy with.I sometimes like to take photos with my cell phone, and it is really nice to be able to have a beautiful light to take photos with my cell phone. Very freeing as a professional photographer, who loves strobes.I think this would be great for Youtubers with a studio setup. As I said, being able to use the softboxes and modifiers I already have, is a huge plus.It would be nice if1. there was some sort of bag for the accessories and some way to attach the remote to the light itself. I think I could solve this with a little velcro for the remote, and maybe a small canvas bag for the others.2. the remote had all of the same functionality as the back did as well as the other way around. Overall, this is an amazing continuous light, that can easily be added to a professional photographers strobe kit for augmentation. Or be great for schools or youtubers, or anyone that just wants to play with continuous lighting, especially if you are excited about experimenting with modifiers.

Nice quality light but larger than I expected
I didn't know anything about the bowens mount system before I bought this and I figured it was for small flash units. This light is actually fairly large in form so not a super portable light if that is what you want. It's about 5" (125mm) in diameter and overall like the size of an American football. The body is made of plastic, but it feels very strong and is molded nicely like a proper piece of photography gear. Since the light is an LED mounted on an aluminum heat sink, the plastic body is not subject to heat so it is appropriate. I'll probably get a tool bag to carry it in.It really is as bright as claimed and I'd guess it is probably brighter than a 650W tungsten studio light but it is daylight balanced so it performs better than tungsten (tungsten becomes very dim when using CTB to make it daylight balanced). Looking straight at it feels like looking at the sun. I checked power consumption with a kill-a-watt and it is more like 75W than 60W but some of that may be losses in power conversion. I think it might be a bit brighter than I expected for only 60W LED so I am pleased. I don't know it's long-term reliability but I've had it on for a few hours with no problems.I got all the accessories promised in good packaging. The barn doors clip on to the bowl reflector which locks in place and requires retracting a spring pin to release them so it seems safe and like a proper mount. The honeycomb goes into a recess in the barn doors. The gels sit in a slot in the barn doors and have magnets to hold them in place. The honeycomb and gel holders can be used at the same time. The color gels seem fairly useless but I suppose I could glue some good CTO (tungsten Color Temperature Orange) in one for use with mixed practicals.

Pretty good, not bad for the price. Very Quiet!
First off, I will say I love Godox products. I own other speedlights and photo strobes, as well as soft boxes and I couldn’t be happier with the results I get.THE GOOD:-Pretty quiet. I’ve seen other reviewers complain about how loud these get when they warm up. This isn’t true (anymore, they fixed this issue), you can hear it if you put your ear to it, but I had it at 100% for 3 hours and never noticed any noise.-good light quality, decent build quality. Bowen’s mount is nice because I can use soft boxes I already own.-comes with barn doors and a grid, which is worth at least $25-30. Also comes with a few color gels. (Reviewers claim these are cheap, and they kind of are... but gels are just plastic you’d tape or clamp onto the reflector normally, so how fancy do you expect these to be?).-Brightness is decent. But with a softbox on it I had to have it on 100%. Granted this strip box had double diffusion but still.THE BAD:I was hoping for a little more bang. Continuous light is weaker and for real output you need either more lights or stronger lights. If you have the $$$, get 200watts or 300watts.The percentage of strength isn’t consistent... 40% isn’t twice as bright as 20%.I wish it came with any carrying case. I ended up buying a Godox bag separately.I DO like it, and I may buy another. But I expected to be more impressed by the brightness, when in fact it’s just adequate.
