Contaminated with black stain on the groove
First time I used this coator and found out that there were black stains on the groove. Clearly it's used and not a brand new one.

Simple and robust
This is a simple gadget but works well. Two micrometers adjust the doctor blade such that it is parallel to the table. Dragging it by hand over your substrate will leave a flat layer of whatever material you are trying to coat. You will need to supply a flat surface to place the substrate and the tool on, and means to hold the sample.This would work well if you need to quickly experiment with the coating thickness. It is not designed to be super consistent and accurate though, due to hand dragging.Subtracting one star because I wish the blade was thinner and polished.
