Mothers 06811 Odor Eliminator & Refresher, New Car Scent

Got this because last year dad bought a 2013 es350 from a "low water salvage" dealer. got a great deal on the car with only 55k miles on it. but still had some smell. I replace engine air filter and cabin air filter. and while cabin filter was out I used a car freshner last august. after 1 year a litte bit of the smell was coming back so did the same thing again. replace engine and cabin filter and this time used mothers oder eliminator but this time with the new cabin filter installed. really cleaned out the smell nicely. make sure to run the a/c on max cold for best circulation and I also removed floor mats and open the center console too to hit all the car areas. you can also open the pass through if have any smell in the trunk but we didn't. hope this helps. higly recommended. make sure to vent the car after treatment for at least 15min. these are chemicals after all. happy driving!

Worked really well for about a week in my Wife SUV. Unfortunately we didn't know the source and the smell came back. (Turns out out it was the vehicles AC evaporator box that required a deep foam cleaning). Once cleaned and this used after the smell has not came back.

It's definitely NOT a new car scent but it does smell really good. More of fresh linen smell but more hotel fragrance like. It occupied entire 3 car garage when I was done with that. I don't know how long it will last but I followed the instruction which included max air setting for 15 minutes with recirculation on. My car has always been very clean and smell free but I hope this will liven up the car even more.

Do NOT buy this if you are sensitive to scents like me. I had a musty smell in my vents and the garage quoted me a minimum $300 to 'fix' it. No. So I found this and the reviews were great. I'm super sensitive to the world so I bought the unscented. It is NOT unscented. Remember Net hairspray from the 80s, yup, I pretty much just sprayed that through my car. So I have been 'airing' it out and running it with the vents full blast with the windows open trying to diminish the scent/blow out the vents as much as possible. The musty smell IS gone, but it's now been replaced with a super obnoxious smell which I hope dissipates quickly. If you do decide to do this- do it in the summer when you can air it out over several days!

I was looming for the 2 cars we have. Eating inside the car makes a bad smell over time. So i purchase this product. Very easy to use. And the smell left on the car is great. It smell like a new car again. Finally :-). Totaly recomen this product to solve your bad smell inside the car.

Can arrived unused but empty. Could smell it on the box which is not unscented in my opinion however not a bad odor.
