Great information
Good inside about how Nintendo BOTW creator taking into account to build one of the biggest game in all times. Claritly, this book give me a insight about how this guys think and what I should keep in mind when I create a open world game. It's vast.

Nice supplement if you enjoy the games.
My wife is very much a Zelda fan after starting out on the NES. Still plays whenever a new one comes out and enjoys the game lore. So this was a nice supplement for her "love" of the series.

The Legend of Understanding Self
I grew up with the Zelda franchise. Following Link’s adventures through a series of iterations helped me overcome sexual and physical abuse, as well as neglect. The Super Nintendo I received as a Christmas gift from CPS came with a copy of A Link To The Past and a subsequent video game addiction. Through this book, the contributors do a great job of dissecting what makes the series so important. It helped me understand why I love it so much. The discussion about fighting the shadow self even brought personal enlightenment about some things. An appreciation of the franchise will definitely make people appreciate the book more, but there’s so much good stuff in it, it can help people who have no experience with Zelda whatsoever. I can’t recommend enough!

Great read
Really enjoyed the psychological perspective on the Legend of Zelda, especially the chapter in the "shadow". All the chapters were interesting, but the last chapter went into left field with some mental gymnastics about gender stereotypes, Zelda becoming androgynous, but society demanding a super woman who can have both masculine and feminine traits. The chapter had good insight on how she has developed, but I couldn't make sense of it being for or against the changes or why it was trying so hard to force an argument. Zelda being more involved as a character or wearing pants doesn't make her masculine any more than Link cooking a meal makes him feminine. Both characters have deeper meaning in the grand story, which most of this book conveys very well.

Good ideas in this book
I found it very thought provoking. Who knew video games provided so much depth?

Loved the comparisons
If you're a Zelda fan, this read is a must. The comparisons are spot on and how knowing what I know, I want to replay all of the games with the new perspectives!

COMPANY WAS EXTREMELY AND INSTANTLY ACCOMMODATING.
My book came quick, unfortunately it came covered in spine glue. The pages were so thick that they couldn’t even be peeled apart. This is NOT a human error, obviously the machine putting it together had a mishap. Nobody’s fault. When I reached out for a replacement, they stated I’d need to send back the copy before they sent a new one, but the company sent one on the same day, in excellent condition. I never write reviews, but when I see companies actually caring for their customers, I think that deserves attention. Loving the book so far by the way. Will buy from here again.

Great read.
As someone currently studying film and media at university (college), this was a very interesting read. A few of the theorists referred to in this book have been used along my studies in relation to other aspects of media, so it was interesting to see some of the same theories applied to my favourite game franchise.

Interesting Book
I like that it connects psychology to some of The Legend of Zelda games. I am playing The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and The Legend of Zelda Triforce Heroes right now.

Un libro para todos
Imprescindible si eres fan de la franquicia y todavía más si también eres del área de psicología. Está un poco desactualizado en algunos temas en específico pero no arruina la experiencia
