Good personal use keyboard bag for Roland FP 90
Very pleased with this purchase so far. We’re using the keyboard bag to carry a Roland FP 90.The FP 90 is a full size and fairly heavy piano so we wanted a strong bag. We skipped the Roland bag offered for the FP 90 after reading a review about that bag tearing, failing catastrophically, causing the reviewer’s keyboard to drop onto a hard surface. We were taking no chances!Comparing photos of the Roland bag versus this Gator bag, we noticed that the carry handles on the Gator extend using the same strap down the side of the padded bag and into the bottom. (Ideally, it should wrap all the way around and up to the other side cradling the contents in nice solid U-shaped harness.)Now that we own our Gator Cases Padded Keyboard Gig Bag we confirm that it works well for an FP 90:- the unit fits with room to spare in every dimension- the internal padded tie-down straps help hold it in and attached to the bottom of the Gator bag and prevent it from moving relative to the bottom but because it is not a form fit, it does move from side to side in other dimensions inside the bag (the sensation is a bit “body bag”)- the zipper is heavy, crisp action and doesn’t leave any concern that it may open- the side mounted bag for holding the music sheet shelf fits the one for the Roland- the carry straps look and feel as secure as we had hoped and have sufficient padding for the weightOther notes:- the bag is huge and needs some thought on how to store it when not in use- even after owning it and feeling around, we cannot confirm that the carry strap does wrap around underneath the base to the other side, the case is very well padded. Maybe, Gator Cases can confirm- carrying a Roland FP 90 will be easier, but to do it on your own you will have to be strong enough to pick up and manipulate 60 lbs. by raising, lowering, tilting, as you work through doorways, seating and tables, in between cars, stairwells, escalators, people and such. The bag will take the bumps and have you less worried but we wonder if it would help if Gator Cases added two carry handles at each end so two people could carry the bag held in between with one person leading and the other following? Even better, make those handles concealed until needed? One more thing, this is a personal travel bag where you are going to be in custody of your precious keyboard. This is not a case that you can ship the keyboard in or give to someone in whom you don’t have confidence to be careful.

If The Shoe Fits…
This Gator bag works great for my older Roland 64 electric weighted key piano. Not an exact fit, so measured/cut equal sized foam rectangle inserts for both ends for added cushioning. Interior twin velcro traps hold both ends snugly. Good quality, woven medium weight canvas bag, sturdy zippers, generous side netted pocket with an inner concealed pocket for power cord, adapter plug, music stand lights, 1/4” PA cables. Sturdy main handles and a shoulder strap. Flat bottom sits nicely on a dolly; add bungee ties to secure.Case is not designed with Protech style padding or reinforcement to be gorilla proof- it’s meant for light transport, on the backseat, or SUV rear cargo space.

A great padded gig bag for a 61-key keyboard
I have the newest Roland GO:Keys5 and it fits very snugly (i.e. securely) in this Gator case. They call this the "slim" version but for my uses it is plenty big enough. The outer pouch is big enough to hold the power supply, a sustain pedal, the music rack, an audio cable to hook up to an amp, and there's still room for music books or an iPad (the iPad must be in its own sturdy case for protection). There are two velcro straps inside the bag to secure the keyboard if you want but you can leave them under the keyboard if you don't need to use them (I don't use them but then I'm very careful with my instruments). This is a great bag if your keyboard will fit -- be sure to visit the Gator web-site to make sure of the internal dimensions of the bag and measure your keyboard carefully to be sure it will fit. They make a slightly larger version (the non-slim version). This case doesn't have a lot of "give" to it so don't expect that if your keyboard is "only" a half-inch or so larger than Gator's listed internal dimensions that it will fit. But if your keyboard will fit, this is a great bag to carry it around in -- the handles are very comfortable, and the amount of protection this case offers is excellent.

Well thought out keyboard gig bag
These bags are well thought out, and work very well for my Kronos, my MODX, and my Nautilus - I play out about once a month and don't need airplane rated travel cases. These bags protect my keys very well whilst also providing easy portability.
