Pretty simple to build. Most can be done by 1 person. Useful to have 4 people to secure it in the upright position . Once that's done the 3 middle sections and putting on the top canopy can be done by 1 person.Good quality. Great value. Sturdy. Instructions not the best, but logical to work out.

Fairly complicated instruction to start with, but as you build it gets easier, as you can see how it goes together. Took 2 people 4 hours, canopy instructions needs full attention, as easy to get things wrong. But once built quite solid and looks great. Recommend ground bolts to secure.

Very difficult to follow instructions with some parts not fitting/working.It’s a temporary fix for my garden until it’s renovated next year. Roof fabric won’t retract due to broken part on arrival

This looks great up however, it has hollow posts and wobbles quite easily. Not sure if it will withstand the great British winters

Put this over my raised pond to stop herons landing and having a snack on my koi. I just use it as a gazebo, so didn't bother with the canvas cover and the drawstrings.Even though I binned about a quarter of the fittings, still think it's really good value. Managed to assemble it in an afternoon, with some help. It's quite light as it's aluminium, although strangely 2 of the 6 rafter parts appear to be steel as my magnetic screwdriver stuck to them. Hopefully they don't rust.

Purchased this pergola for a corner patio/breakfast area in the garden. It really has provided the finishing touch. Perhaps a bit on the pricy side, compared to some similar (quickly sold-out) products I have seen in garden centres, but in the year of mass home improvements, you have to take what you can find!The unit was easily assembled. I did most of it myself, but did get some help from family members when connecting all the previously assembled sides and then again to move it in to position.The canopy has been a pleasure. Locks in place via a small screwing mechanism to stop it blowing around in high wind. It is water resistant, but be warned, there are some small drainage holes intentionally placed across the canopy. These can drain on to the unsuspecting occupant in heavier showers!In summary, a great pergola and canopy that provides some stylish shade with resistance to light showers. Just don't expect to site out in a monsoon. Recommended.
