Q: Is this bird feeder squirrel proof?

I don't think any bird feeder is squirrel. proof. However, I have not seen any in the two Swiss-Inno feeder we have, nor is any part of it chewed up. I think keeping the bulk of the broken seeds in the bottom tray, keeps the squirrels from rummaging around by it.

Q: how much seed does this hold?

Sorry, I haven't measured the funnel's capacity. I will say that it's easy to detach the tray and pour the spilled seeds back into the top, with almost none ending up on the ground. That can be repeated several times. I stop and just discard the caught spillage when too many molted feathers have accumulated in the tray with the spilled seeds. (Judgement call, that).

Q: Question about the colors: green is good outdoors, but this one looks like an olive green-not my fave. Is the grey really grey or more of a beige?

The gray is really a nice beige. I think it’s the best color since the birds tend to sit on the top and poop there. The light color looks nicer over time.

Q: I can get the bottom in place and turned so that it may not fall off, but it doesn't lock in place, so is wobbly. Is there a way to lock/secure it?

It should mostly lock in place. It's not a tight fit. There is a bit of wobble, but it shouldn't fall off. If you've turned it to where it doesn't rotate further and pulling down on it doesn't make it come off, that's as good as it gets. If you are able to just pull down on it and it comes off, it may be broken.
