Items from list of ingredients that you saw..millet , peanuts , sunflower....Answering your question if it is free of corn ? It contains cracked corn..Total List Of Ingredients via back of bag:sunflower chips , white millet , cracked corn , peanuts , canary seed , red millet..Milo is not mentioned in ingredients nor mentioned under guaranteed analysis..Happy Bird Watching either way.

Q: is the millet shelled?

Thank you for reaching out to us! Yes this has millet in it so it could sprout. All grains in this birdseed can germinate. If you would like to check out our No Waste products these will not germinate. To avoid germinating you can sterilize your birdseed. For a gallon of seed, place in a paper bag and cook on high in microwave for 5 minutes. In a conventional oven, place on a flat baking sheet and cook for 30 minutes at 300 degrees. Sterilizing your seed will not alter the attractiveness of nutitional value of the seed. Thank you, Morning Song

Q: When i received clean & free the bag was split open i cannot return it

Oh dear! It's OK! We transfer our seed to a seal proof container, which keeps it from pests, etc. We use a cup to scoop the seed from the container and feed the birds. Hope this helps save the seed?

Q: Why is your birdseed so expensive? at wal mart much less so/ at costco 40 lbs for $19???

Need to look at the ingrediuents. Most cheaps seeds use fillers such as Milo.
