DFM Tool Works Small Square and Center Finder - Mini Square Tool with 11/32" Center Marking Hole Woodworking, Carpenter Engineering Square, Center Marking Tool, Made in USA - Blue

I use this square frequently (it is spot on square). I like it because it fits in my pocket so it always handy. Ideal when working on my smaller projects or to check blades are at 90 degrees. The bright blue color makes it easy to find if I happen to set it down. It is a solid piece so it will last.

Even inside the shop I have a set of tools I keep on my person when working; pencil, knife, tape, etc. You can add one more to the list. This DFM Small Square is a must. It comes up all the time in woodworking, you need to "check square" this item can get it done with accuracy and usability. It isn't a monster that is bulky to carry around the shop, it is perfect for an apron pocket. The quality of the tool is awesome, and best of all it is made in the U.S.A. A great feature of the square is it allows you to use the provided pins to center mark boards. Quick and easy, no measuring needed (because we all know that 3/4" board doesn't mean a true 3/4"). If you are looking to make piston fit items, this square can help you do it. I didn't get anything for the review, these are my own words and I am not a robot or a paid reviewer. I'm just a small scale woodworker that appreciates quality tools and decided that I would write a review to help you guys as consumers buy something that is worth the money and not a piece of crap. Side Note: Ordering from Amazon.com, mine did not come with the centering pins. I contacted the manufacturer (he could not have been more helpful and nice), and he sent me the pins at no charge to me. I would definitely purchase this and other products from DFM again. Ronnie

Accurately mark the center every time. What a tool! I love it.

Awesome Little tool using it more then I thought. two things I would change. wish is they had a way to store the pins when not in use. also came in a larger size. (I have big hands)

Poor anodizing is the fist thing I noticed right out of the package. In the picture provided you can see the larger center hole has a 4mm spot of missing or thin anodizing, along with a smaller spot on the bottom hole at the 90. Came packaged in foam, so it was most definitely a QC mishap. On a positive note it is very square and machined nicely. Will try an exchange and see if I get better luck on the next one, if not I will live with it. I just expect better with the "Made in USA" stamp on it. But at the end of the day function over form prevails. **Edit- Second one was much better, love it. Must have tool for my apron. It's great to be able to just bust it out real quick and check square. Haven't used the center finder portion yet with the exception of testing it out and it's a great addition to the tool. I'm going to order some countersink magnets and make a nice the mount with the pins.

This little thing is terrific. I predominantly use it to keep my miter saw properly aligned. The saw is mounted on a Bosch gravity saw stand. Rolling the stand over the rough ground and up and down steep berms around our small rural property (to the 'jobsite' of the day) sometimes bounces the saw blade's alignments out of kilter. This square is short enough to make these checks in both vertical and horizontal positions. Which is something that none of my larger squares will do. I carry the Small Square in whatever clothing pocket is convenient. That way, I can conveniently check square cut blade alignment throughout the day.

There are a few random uses for this, but for me it ended up being a fidget device at my desk. I think this is because it just feels nice in the hand as its well built.

Brutally expensive... Totally worth it. Precision made, it's the square by which I judge all others. It proved my Mastercraft and Benchmark squares are just slightly off. Tool setup is easier and true using the DFM small square.

Very accurate well made/ solid little square. Very handy to be able to slip in your pocket or tool apron. I was surprised by how much I used it when working with smaller projects in the shed. Sharpening/ squaring blades and chisels.,fence and drill press alignment , checking for square on cuts to smaller pieces of timber.
