Candamar Designs Courageous Voyage by Thomas Kinkade No.51646 Counted Cross Stitch Kit, 16 by 12-Inch

Let's start with organisation. The thread organiser that came with this kit was very haphazard, and while things were bundled together well, all the threads could have easily been pulled free and meshed. It's a very frustrating format, especially when reading the legend for the color types. I would consider myself a moderate to high level stitcher at this point after completeing several large size kits, and even this looked unpleasant after unwrapping. I still attempted to work on it though, and encountered the following;Coloring is not nearly as dark as the picture represents, and the aida count is smaller than expected. Even with a smaller needle, I felt like I was having to leave large holes when piecing together. The legend for the color symbols is -Incredibly- hard to read. The entire pattern is in black and white, no color variations for any symbols to make it easier to identify from where you need to be. The reason that is such a problem is when two color blues or purples are right next to each other, but yet can't identify where you were at when you go to fill! I did about 12 squares of this piece before deciding the frustration at the pattern and the quality of the colors just wasn't worth it.

I got it thinking it was a stamped cross stitch since im not good at counted cross stitch yet. But i didnt read the discription thing so silly me for not getting what i thought it was. Its still great but a good lesson to read the discription

this is a very big job. it is all cross stitch; no half cross stitches. The muted hues of a Thomas Kincaid picture means that there are a lot of colors. I am having a good time doing this. It is keeping me busy!!!!

Beautiful picture! Met my expectations for quality but directions are very hard to read. I am use to having complicated projects in color not just black and white. It will be a challenging project.

My husband loves the old sailing ships and am working on this for his birthday in October. Hope it looks like the picture on the package; only problem, is I have to work on it when he is not around and this being winter and he retired...not too easy.

It is very Beautiful, full of vibrate colors. I am very pleased with it.

It would be beautiful if the thread colors actually matched the picture colors. The threads are not organized for you, you must spend the time to try to figure out which thread is what color. The stitched picture looks nothing like the cover picture. Not only are the thread colors much brighter but some of the colors seem to be off. For such a huge project I'd move on to something else.
