Sucker is the second studio album by English singer and songwriter Charli XCX, released on 15 December 2014 by Asylum and Atlantic Records. The album was met with positive reviews from critics, praising it's throwback style, and ended up being included on many year-end lists for best albums of the preceding 12 months. Some of the songs are foot-tappingly catchy, and others are earworms that are hard to not sing while walking around. If you don't like Charli's voice, then this probably isn't the album for you. If you're looking for songs with lots of emotional depth and substance, this is also not the album for you. But if you're looking for catchy music to energize your day, I'd highly recommend this one. "Break The Rules" and "Boom Clap" are the standouts for me, with "London Queen," "Breaking Up," and "Famous" all making it onto my regular playlist. A definite winner for me. Good, solid pop from Charli XCX

Such a pleasure

mostly great.
Starts out strong. The first four songs have some great energy in them. Toward the middle the album starts to fizzle. Gold coins is just not very good, the overplayed Boom Clap makes me rush for the fast forward button, and the next two songs I deleted as I couldn't stand them. Luckily she rescues the last third of the album and starts to shine again with Die Tonight and Famous particularly standing out. Overall I'm really enjoying the 9 songs I did choose to keep from this album.

Great album. Love this album great fun pop album and you can really get into the songs. I have a question though. Is the song Sucker edited for anyone else? it beep you sucker, yet the other songs are unedited

The vinyl came brand spanking new and works great on my Jensen! The first song you should listen to is Need Ur Luv. It SOUNDS SO GOOD ON VINYL!

Amazing album! Probably my favorite pop album of the last decade. Everything is high energy and fun. It takes me back to the pop music of the early 90's! Very well done!

Meh.
Admittedly, pop isn't a genre that I often listen to. While researching bands in preparation for "T in the Park" - I stumbled over Charli XCX. After downloading True Romance, I was hooked. It was just sooooooooo good. When Sucker was released, I had high hopes. Alas, I can hardly get through this album in one sitting. Typical modern pop music... overly repetitive and unnecessarily obnoxious. Sad face :(

Energizing and up beat! Her voice has profoundly matured-radically; and the self-satirical 'break the rules' and, oh (forgot title) pop star blues song shows true personal development. I love to listen to her when driving or on the stationary bike; and believe she will be giving us fresh, challenging lyrics and presentation many decades from now!

Pourquoi Charli ne tourne pas plus en radio ? Pourquoi son album ne se vend pas bien ? Franchement je comprend pas. "Sucker" est une dose de cocaïne musicale, de quoi danser sans s'arreter. J'y retrouve l'énergie de la Gwen Stefani de l'époque, une voix parfois Lana del Reyenne, bref tout est aussi magnifique que la chanteuse dont je suis amoureux. Les + : - Tout l'album, une référence Pop acidulé !!! Le - : - J'ai acheté l'album en version U.S et on ne retrouve pas le feat avec Rita Ora (dont je suis aussi amoureux) sur "Doing it". Dommage. Note : 18/20

Llegó antes de lo establecido, en buenas condiciones. Este álbum de Charli es muy pop, alegre y energético. Aunque es pop comercial, hay canciones que realmente son buenas, depende del gusto de cada quién.
