Gooby Hot Pink Small Dog Harness, Easy Fit No Pull with Quick Release Buckle, Machine Washable, Escape Free, Sporty Style

This is the perfect harness for my mini poodle. I keep him in a variety of haircuts - from super short to rather long and fluffy. His chest measures about 18.5 inches excluding his fur. I ended up going with medium to account for his extra fluff and I'm glad I did. The harness leaves plenty of room for him to run at a full sprint and walk comfortably, without excessive looseness. He is not a habitual puller - I worked with him on a regular collar to reduce pulling behavior, but he is a puppy so every now and then he gives a good tug. I have found this harness does a good job of preventing him from pulling with pressure around his neck, which was my goal. I would not recommend this harness for dogs who habitually pull - I feel this would excaerbate the issue. But for a dog who walks well, this harness is perfect! I love how it is secured with a plastic buckle; I wanted to avoid anything with velcro because that tends to catch on fur. The ease of putting it on makes this my new go to harness for all walks - it's just as easy as putting on his collar, and I don't have to worry about any neck pressure or strain! The color is a nice bonus - the turqoise is more of a light blue that is simply lovely to look at.

This is a great harness. The material is sturdy, but it's still very lightweight and comfortable; my dog is able to freely run in it. With the right size, this harness also functions like a martingale collar in that the more you (or the dog) pull on the leash, the tighter it gets around the body. That mechanism helps prevent the dog from slipping out. I've attached photos to show how different sizes fit on a small fluffy dog that weighs 18 pounds and has a chest circumference of about 19 inches (18.5 inches if the tape measure is pulled tight). The small size harness did fit, barely, but I would've had to pull the harness even tighter in order to bring the two ends of the leash rings together to clip on the leash -- that is, for normal wear. (Just FYI, the circumference of the harness is about 21 inches here.) Also, I could tell that the harness sides were too small and uncomfortable on my dog. So the Small size was just too small and too tight and uncomfortable for my dog. I had originally tried this size because I was concerned about excess slack making the leash ring ends flop around, but the small harness left no slack at all. The medium size fits perfectly. You can see in the photo that there's enough slack to pull the harness tighter when needed, but otherwise, the harness fits comfortably while he is relaxed. The large size also did fit, but you can see in the photo that the harness fits loosely even with the adjustable belts at the smallest lengths. That meant the harness couldn't be pulled any tighter to prevent the dog from slipping out. Plus the leash ring end belts would easily flop around. So, based on this experience, my dog's 19 inch chest was at the very end but within the limits of the Small size range; in the middle of the Medium range; and just below the range for Large. The Medium size harness fit the best, and it was also the only one that allows the harness to function like it's supposed to. Overall, I highly recommend this harness. Just make sure you get the right size for your pup. I just wish it was a bit more affordable and that it had a ring on the front for attaching ID tags.

The Gooby Escape Free Easy Fit Harness is exactly what I needed for both of my small dogs who are escape artists and my big dog who scares easily at sudden or loud noises. The design is brilliant—I love the martingale-style cinch - it’s secure but comfortable, and my pups can’t wriggle out of it like other harnesses I’ve tried. The step-in style makes it quick and easy to put on, which is a big plus when you’re dealing with an excited pup! The harness is lightweight but durable, with soft padding that doesn’t irritate the skin. I also appreciate the range of colors, as it’s nice to have something both functional and stylish. Our walks have been so much easier and worry-free with this harness. Highly recommend for small dog owners, especially if you’ve had issues with other harnesses! But we big dog owners can enjoy the security and ease this harness provides. Every walk is now a joy!

Top marks for the fit & comfort for my 14-pound miniature poodle. I have tried a variety of harnesses to keep her from pulling. She hated all the others! And while it took two or three walks for her to accept this one, the fit and for the most part lightweight material worked perfectly. The Neoprene body does provide strong cushion protection for when my pup pulls and wants to go the other way. No longer pulling at her neck. She has become a better walker with me in less than two weeks. I also find that the "step in" process makes it easier to get her in and out. This was another struggle that I had with other competing solutions. I am totally happy with the product, EXCEPT for the top "POM Plastic Leash Ring". The hook for my lease to connect is a "lightweight." I can predict that they will eventually wear out. If the company spent an extra "25 cents" to make the lease ring connector more heavy-duty, this would be a total winner. It is so close to being five-stars.

We have a Beagle who has anxiety and does not like to leave her safe space (home). We have tried other harnesses in the past when we have had to take her somewhere and she has managed several times to slip out of them. This harness has been great. She has not been able to slip out and has actually started walking a little better on leash. We bought one for our new dog too. That one was actually defective (one buckle was sewn upside down) but we received a replacement very quickly.

Love this harness! It's very comfortable on the dog, easy to put on, low maintenance, flexible and washable. No fancy straps or contraptions to mess with. Super simple. Easy. This is my 2nd harness. The first one lasted many years, went everywhere. The plastic keeper / hold clip eventually broke, so I needed to replace it. My dog is beagle/pomeranian/papillon mix, and weighs anywhere from 15-18 lbs, depending on her health / weight / activity and lifestyle changes. :) At 15 lbs the harness is almost loose, but useable. At 18 lbs it fits snug but it's still comfortable for her. Love the flexibility this harness offers. I may even purchase a backup to keep in the car with my backup leash. As a test, I ordered the small version also. It was at the very edge of fitting her, and felt a little tight behind her shoulder... so I kept the Medium, it fits better.

I've bought these for every one of my dogs. They never seem to restrict movement, and my dogs have always acted as if they're very comfortable. What I love about them is that they tighten if ever my dogs try to pull away. If they decide to "hunt" and pull, when they see a squirrel, it tightens up around them, holding them in place. If they pull backwards (I have some really stubborn dogs! :D), it holds them in, as well. I've had them for small and medium dogs. They fit easily and are simple to get on, and to tighten and loosen. We attach them to safety straps attached to seat belts in the car, as well. They never seem to get in my dogs' way, even on long trips. If I have one complaint, it's that with my most active dog, who runs and rolls around, I've had to replace it now twice, as it gets frayed more easily than I'd like. Otherwise, they're a good value and I recommend them to all my friends.

We love these harnesses. Very easy to put on. Just step in and wrap it up and click shut. Helps a lot with a wiggly dog. My dog is in between the weight recommendations however. A medium felt so tight even adjusted completely so we bought this large which gives him more room definitely but its a bit loose yet works much better once hes on a leash. Not sure that he is going to grow much more. He really shouldn't. He is a corgi and just a solid boy. We had a different harness and hated it. It was confusing and as he grew it got way too tight. I love how easy these are for the dog to step into and we just snap it up

Very comfortable on the pet allows for free movement and control

I have been searching for the perfect harness for my pug since having him. Everything seems to run his chest or restrict his breathing from being too high up on his chest. He has always run away when I’m trying to put his harness on - so I never believed anything was comfortable. This is a lovely and comfortable spongy neoprene type material. It doesn’t rub him at all. The chest piece dips slightly why is perfect for flat faced breeds as it doesn’t restrict their airflow. I notice he doesn’t have loud breathing on walks now. He stands for me to put his legs in it and I like the comfortable fit on top which tightens if he pulls so he can’t escape. I’ve recommended to friends. My pug is 56cm chest which was on the edge of M or L. I went for L and it fits on the smallest setting. So any smaller chest and you’d need a medium.

I have bought and returned multiple harnesses for our dog, but this by far is my favourite and he just loved it too! Game changer on our walk tonight too! No pulling and he was so calm and confident while walking. I like it so much, I’ve come here to buy a second one so I can keep one in the car for his seatbelt and one at the back door for our walks. Highly recommend! The only thing I would change, but I’m not going to knock a star off for it is the fact that it has plastic D rings for where you connect the leash. Metal would’ve been far better, however, we’ll see how long it lasts!
