Squirrel preferred
Seems expensive, but worth every penny. Easy mix, easy to feed to newborn squirrel, he seemed to prefer this to my homemade formula, and took it very well, I could see a marked improvement in his activity and intake after first few feedings. He seemed to have no GI problems at all. Highly recommend, seems like high quality, no weird smells or anything, and was recommended by a full-time wildlife rehabber (she was too full to take on another baby).

Saved my baby hamsters
I unknowingly bought a pregnant hamster who abandoned her pups immediately after birth. I couldnโt live with myself just letting them die, so I spent the next 2 weeks sleeping in 2 hour intervals, feeding them this formula around the clock until they were ready to be weaned. I was told they had about a 20% chance of survival because they were so young. Especially because the first 24 hours of nursing are absolutely crucial for the survival of any mammal due to the contents of the new motherโs milk. I had 6 pups, and while I did sadly lose 2 of them, I donโt believe it had anything to do with this formula. One began to have endless seizures and couldnโt eat, while the other, I believe, aspirated too much milk. Despite the odds, the 4 remaining hamster pups are thriving at almost 3 months old now. I highly recommend this formula, and while I donโt endorse nor encourage hand-rearing or breeding hamsters (please donโt do it), I do believe it contains exactly what they need in a dire situation.

Fox Valley Day ONE 32/40 Formula for Squirrels, Rabbits and Opossums, 16 Ounces
I purchased this product to feed two orphaned, twoโweekโold domestic bunnies and it exceeded my expectations. From the first feeding they eagerly accepted the formula from a small nipple slipped onto a syringe, and they finished each feeding quickly. Over the following days they showed steady weight gain and more energetic behavior, which gave me confidence that they were getting the nutrition they needed while I arranged veterinary care. The powder mixed smoothly into a pale pink solution with no clumps, and the texture was easy for the babies to latch onto with the syringe nipple. What I liked most: Fast acceptance: the kits took to the syringe and nipple right away. Good intake: they drank the full amount each feeding without fuss. Noticeable growth: steady weight gain and increased activity over a short period. Easy to prepare: mixed smoothly and was simple to measure and warm slightly before feeding. Practical tips from my experience: Warm the mixture to about body temperature before offering it โ cold or very hot liquids can be rejected or harmful. Use a small, soft nipple designed for neonatal animals and practice gentle, steady pressure on the syringe so the babies can swallow comfortably. Prepare only what you need for a single feeding and discard leftovers to avoid bacterial growth. Monitor weight daily and consult a veterinarian promptly for orphaned kits or any signs of illness. Recommendation: I would recommend this product to other caregivers of orphaned small mammals!!

Perfect
Wonderful product. Didn't make orphaned rabbit sick. His family was killed by a weed eater. He was given to me to care for. He loved this milk. I fed him only twice a day as a momma rabbit would. I didn't over feed him. Offered greens and rabbit food, water from puddles, never fresh water because they won't have it in the wild. Going from fresh water to dirty water would kill him. He needs the organisms in wild water from puddles, creeks, ponds etc. I was able to release him back to the wild. This milk worked great. I only handled him to feed milk so he'd stay wild.

Life Saving
Wonderful product. I found an orphaned joey on my porch and he wasn't looking good. He had more fleas than I can describe and they were bigger than him. He was very dehydrated as well. I'd estimate he is just about 8 weeks so while he can eat a little, he needed real nourishment. As soon as I received my delivery I made a batch and it was the first time Stanly had lapped intentionally so I had a lot of relief. I tend to get several orphan possums in April and the rehaber is a long drive so I was holding out for another one that my husband spotted but nothing yet so Stanly is on his way to be with his own kind tomorrow and we are both grateful. Thank you!

The only formula you should ever buy for wildlife!!!
I do wildlife rehab and this is the ONLY formula I buy. I do squirrels, and cottontails mostly, but in the past Ive saved raccoons and opossums too using this formula. I just took this video of my latest baby cottontail drinking his bottle. Look at how happy he is!! He is literally so excited that he cant contain his energy. I was brought this baby when he was just a day old, eyes closed teeny tiny. At first he didnt eat like this - I had to give him a drop at a time as he fought me and sort of lapped it up. They spill a lot at first bc they dont know how to suck, and they want their mom.. but stick with it and they will learn how to nurse after about a week. If you know anything about cottontail rehab then you know they have a 1/10 chance to make it. I specialize in bunnies so I have about a 9.5/10 survival rate. Ive rescued around 50 of these guys over the years, and have only lost maybe 1 - AND I have ONLY ever used this Fox Valley formula. You just add warm filtered water to formula 2 to 1, and use one of those hand held battery powered blender tools in a coffee cup. The formula lasts in the fridge 24 hours with aluminum foil over the top. I just pour small amounts into a new cup and warm that up separately for every feeding. (You never warm it up and put it back in the fridge, so just warm enough for that feeding). You can also buy the syringes and nipples from their website too. Fox Valley is the only company I ever use.

For baby opossums
(Pictures posted are about a 3 week difference between when we found him (mid April) to now (early-mid May.) Found a baby opossum on the sidewalk completely lost and disoriented without his mother and siblings. Was way too young and small to be on his own, still hadn't grown teeth, and wouldn't accept simple things such as water and wet cat food. This formula was a lifesaver. Took him about a day to warm up to it (we started him on newborn kitten formula while we waited for this to arrive in the mail). Started to gobble it up and was gaining more energy, weight, and started growing his little teeth. Eventually transitioned him to fruits, various proteins and an opossum specific kibble formula. Couldn't have done it without this product. Do note, the seller is unable to accept returns on this product. We only used about 1/4th of the bag until the little guy started craving soft solids such as fruits.
