Be careful buying these renewed PSUs
I have never had a factory brand-new Corsair PSU show up DOA. I have had TWO of these "factory renewed" PSUs show up DOA. I have purchased many factory renewed Corsair PSUs before. Some operate like new and are reliable right out of the box, and some are DOA. There is no external fuse to check on these Corsair (Seasonic is the OEM) PSUs, but there is an internal fuse. However, the second you open it up, you have voided the warranty. Do you really want to risk forfeiting your investment in purchasing this product b/c "you know you can fix it?" Most times the answer is "Nope."That said, I don't know if the internal fuse was blown on the two DOA PSUs I purchased. Maybe it was that simple, maybe it wasn't. Point being that "factory renewed/works like new" should do just that and some of these don't.If you buy renewed products, it's a gamble. Thankfully, Amazon has a fantastic return policy, so you're really at no risk other than inconvenience and your time to take the dead PSU to the nearest UPS Store to return it, while you wait for a replacement to be shipped. If Amazon ever changes their return/refund policy I will no longer purchase "factory renewed products" b/c it's simply not worth the risk and inconvenience.

If you need power get one of these!
I love modular PSU's and I hate paying a lot of money for anything. I have an office with a variety of differnet towers from different years and so on. I picked up a couple of these to upgrade a couple of older PCs with 250watt PSU's. Back in the day that was enough power but now I have staff using 2 or 3 monitors, we all have scanners, printers and of course there are other peripheral devices so I needed more power to keep them from shutting downI picked up 2 of these units, dropped them into 2 test PC's that were pretty old and then slipped a high performance video card, upgraded the DDR 2 RAM to maximum capacity and those two little dudes are rocking hard core in my office now! They are literally the envy of the office staff and the total bill was under $300!!!!

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT
Lets just say i was very disappointed when i opened the box in the mail. This was the absolute last peice needed for my 3rd gen ryzen build. To my dismay it was a used product. My fault, i should have read the page better. So i read the reviews and saw the bad comments.. wich was most of then and decided to use it.. but wait theres more! IT HAD NO CABLES except for the installed 24pin mobo cable. Thankfully i had some lying around and got my system built. After 1.5 weeks it started to crap out. The noises sounded like a dragon was being hatched inside. The fan was like nails on a chalkboard and this was while running demanding applications causing my system to draw more power. So i am returning this one and getting a new one from bestbuy so i dont have to wait.

Provides power for my system
Hooked this up and powered it on. First time it didn't work right away and I almost returned it, but I pulled it out and then made one last attempt on it and it powered on just fine. Not sure if I did something wrong or what. I've installed many power supplies in the past but this was my first modular one. Def helps with cable managment and air flow. Provides needed power for my sapphire AMD Radeon 590 video card with no issues. Running i7 4th gen as well. Had extra cables when everything was done. Pretty quiet and great value.

very bad coil whine
very cheap power supply. of course you get what you pay for. mine had a very bad coil whine when gaming. so loud i could hear it over my headset being on my head. of course not all will do this. most cheaper ones will. this happened to be one of them. if you go with corsair. RM-X series only.

Horrible. Fan doesn’t even spin and unit doesn’t power on
Horrible product. I’m not sure if I just received a defective unit or what but mine was even more beat up then you’d expect from refurbished and was in horrible condition. Then, it didn’t power on and I’m 100% sure it was this PSU because the fan didn’t spin and I also tried different outlets not even connected to the PC.
