A well engineered set and fun to build
This set definitely focuses on the engineering and chassis detail with working steering, a functional rear differential, and a basic crankshaft with working pistons (albeit without a cylinder block). In terms of the kit construction, I particularly like how the steering mechanism and prop shaft are constructed together down the centre of the vehicle, with the seats either side. If I had a small criticism, it would be the doors, bonnet and roof are fixed. If one of these were able to be opened, this would have been a great detail. In terms of appearance. I would say the rear is more convincing than the front and the rear tyre to arch gap is a touch too big, but these small points are not enough to detract from what a quality set this is. Recommended.

Brilliant.
At only £30 this was probably one of Lego's most 'value for money' sets. I have a set that has only 850 ish pieces but it costs £180. This was a 6th of that price and almost 3/4 of the pieces. Fantastic product. You couldn't fault it. Would definately buy again (but of course not because I don't do lego twice!).Just saying, this model comes with working steering (control at the back) and it has working pistons which were cleverly made.

Lovely kit
I got this for my little cousin at christmas as he likes lego.I've had no complaints about it so assume it was good.Looking at the box it looks like a decent kit with lots of parts to keep him occupied. He's 7 so probably needed some help from his Dad to complete.I was tempted to get one of these myself!

A Great Set for Older Kids Who Love Sports Cars
This is a great set even at full price so if you can pick it up at a discount then it’s a bargain.Assembly is easy for anyone already comfortable with Technic sets. I went wrong at one point - my own fault - and had to do a partial disassemble, which isn't as way as with regular Lego!Completed model looks great in my opinion and is the right scale to work together with 42098 Technic Car Transporter. The car has working steering, operated by a wheel on the back, and the engine pistons pop up and down in turn thanks to some clever cam work under the chassis. Wheel movement is smooth and the model has plenty of play potential. And because it’s Technic it’s much more sturdy than a regular Lego vehicle.Folks will argue about how much it resembles the ZR1 in real life but for me it’s decent enough representation. Overall I thought it was great.

Great to get back into the swing of things.
This was a fun Sunday project since I’ve gotten back into Lego. Took about 5 hours in and off between other things and now I’ve multiple kits coming in from Lego. Wanted a starter to get the muscle memory back and this was a good way to resume. It’s good fun and can be rebuilt into another model or form parts of some other ideas I’ve got.Good kit.

Nice wheels
Had to take apart twice and start again as I miss read the instructions, but that says more about me I think. Not a Chevrolet but I think this is the most amount of Lego you can get for the cheapest price. loves building it and finding somewhere to but it, surprisingly large.

Great gift and great value
Bought for an 8 year old nephew. He built it in a few hours. The instructions were fairly clear but like most could have improved a little on the steps. For the price and the outcome I’m blown away. It looked awesome and he LOVED building it.I would recommend.
