Went from out of the box to straight onto the rink. No need to sharpen, it's great for the beginner skater like me (I just moved into the northeast and have been trying to pick up skating as a hobby). Sizing is pretty accurate to shoe sizing as advertised. Strong feel to the build. Great value. Overall happy with my purchase.

I LEARNED SKATING AND PLAYING HOCKEY ON LEATHER SKATES DECADES AGO, SO WHEN I GOT BACK INTO IT AFTER MANY YEARS I PURCHASED THE MODERN CCM AND BAUER SKATES AND FELT LIKE THEY DON'T ABSORB ICE IMPERFECTIONS AND THE PLASTIC DESIGN FELT WAY TOO RIGID AND SKATING ESPECIALLY BACKWARDS WAS VERY UNSTEADY, SO I KEPT SEARCHING AND FOUND THESE 5TH ELEMENTS MADE OF LEATHER, FABRIC AND PLASTIC. THEIR DELIVERY WAS VERY FAST, THEY CAME IN A BEAUTIFUL BOX, LOOKING FANTASTIC, ONE SKATE WEIGHS 1074 GRAMS WHICH IS HEAVIER THAN THE MODERN SKATES, SO I WONDERED IF I WILL BE SLOWER. I PUT THEM ON TODAY FOR A TOUGH HOCKEY PRACTICE SESSION AND THE SECOND I STEPPED ON THE ICE THEY FELT AMAZING, ABSORBING ICE IMPERFECTIONS, SO COMFORTABLE, SO STABLE, WARM, ACTUALLY LIGHT AND FAST IN EVERY DIRECTION. I WILL BE PURCHASING ANOTHER PAIR. SIZE IS TRUE TO THE REGULAR SHOE SIZE. YOU GET YOUR MONEY REALLY WORTH.

My son received these skates as one of his Christmas gifts. He has already skated several times with these and said they're well made and comfortable.

I am a so-so skater had not been on a pair of skates for about 7 years. We were visiting my son's family who live in a new home on a lake in Minnesota. They had cleared off some ice so I had to give it a go. First, the skate size match my shoe size quite well and yes, you do need to have them sharpened before using. I went just about a half size larger and was able to double up on socks comfortably. I skated two times, first time for about an hour, second time for about two hours. While the shoes are a little stiff to start with, I had no problem using them on either occasion and my feet felt fine afterwards. I cannot speak to their durability but have no hesitation recommending them for the casual skater. Good value for the price.

Size fit as expected. Bought themTo skate with the kids as they go to the rink weekly. They are not the most comfortable but maybe that is normal. I am no expert skater so not sure what to expect. I think they are good for the money.

Having just turned 80 I decided I wanted to skate with my granddaughter who is 6. I took some skating lessons and now am very comfortable cruising around the rink.

I am a beginner on ice. I can't say enough good things about these skates, since they are very comfortable. I am a size 9.5, got a 10 fit perfectly no issues. Skating is awesome in these, and stopping is way easier than using the pick on figure skates, since again I am a beginner. I used these for the first time a few days ago and had lots of fun knowing they are my own personal pair, and a pair I can make my own by using it often. Great choice.
