I want to give this to all of the stars
This tea is amazing! For green tea, it doesn't taste like a green tea. Trust me I drink a lot of green tea. The apple flavor is wonderful without being overpowering. It tastes natural. I will definitely buy again. The price point is a little high, but for me it's worth it

lovely apple flavor!
I've always been a fan of apple teas. This one has a strong apple flavor which is great for cold tea. I'll be adding this to my subscription list.

Best green tea I’ve tried
The tea smells amazing. The flavor is compared to a matcha latte. No sugar required. I will keep buying more.

Used to be delicious
I've been drinking this tea for about 4 years now, and agree that the flavor has changed. There really isn't any apple flavor anymore. Also, yes, it's very expensive.

Believe the reviews, this is really good green tea.
When all reviews are great I wonder if they are honest but I'm adding a 5-star review because this is good green tea! I really wanted to like green tea for the widely reported health benefits but found all green tea to be flavorless and a little bitter (especially if brewed too long, which I always seem to do). Another very annoying thing about a lot of green teas I tried is that the teabag ruptures, ruining the tea. Someone told me about this Yamamotoyama Sencha green tea and I finally found my green tea! It has a pale green color and a very pleasant mild herbal/flower flavor. Even when I brew it too long it doesn't seem to get very bitter. The sturdy pyramid teabag is sturdy but also biodegradable, which I like since I compost all vegetable matter. The box info says that the Yamamotoyama tea company is several centuries old so I guess they should know how to make great green tea.

So I though all other reviews were pathetic and written by the same person, but.....
Now that I have tried this tea I can see a tremendous difference between what I always had and what this tea offers. This is truly different in a few ways: pyramid bag is made out of very fine mesh, the leafs that are cut on the inside are still very green and look nearly fresh, there are a lot of them in the bag so I would recommend reusing it for few cups. Also, it CAN get bitter as all the other green teas you ever had ( this is just natural attribute to green tea, period), I guess it just a matter of how long you keep a bag in the cup. Otherwise, if you take the bag out in time (usually in a first minute), it will taste very smooth and refreshing.

Fantastic quality!
This tea is ultra-smooth. The teabag itself is made from extremely high quality plastic. The packaging is lined with the shiny metal type lining you see on the inside of potato chip bags. I've written a much more in-depth review of Yamamotoyama's Genmaicha (roasted rice tea) which you might want to read first (just click on my name to read my other reviews; I try to be in depth).Taste: this isn't as bold or flavorful as regular green tea. It has more of a...vegetable flavor. I prefer Yamamotoyama's Jasmine, genmaichai, or normal green. Gyokuro is from the year's first harvest so has a different taste. I guess I could review olives too but that shouldn't mean I give them a 1-star rating just because the taste doesn't suit me. Others love them and would give them a 5-star. This tea is very high quality. Certainly the highest I've ever bought in bag form on the Internet. I felt rich drinking it too knowing it was about a dollar a bag. I initially got two boxes of 16 packs each. I can't say I'll buy them monthly, but I will definitely purchase them again.
