Bear Heroes WDLND Valley

My 2 1/2 year-old loves "Bear in the Big Blue House" (who doesn't?!) and of our growing DVD (and VHS, yes VHS!) collection, this one is by far her favorite. It features many Woodland Valley characters--including the well-loved blue house residents Ojo, Treelo, Pip, Pop, and our favorite, Tutter; well-known faves like Doc. Lois, and Grandma Flutter; and a few new characters like Jeremiah Tortoise --all of whom come together as a "community" to help restore the town library after it was damaged in a storm. It's a great video for looking at themes of community, respect, charity, empowerment, etc. It also provides a good opportunity to discuss feelings that children may grapple with after a tragedy (Ojo is deeply affected by the library tragedy and has a good heart to heart with Bear who sings a comforting song). All in all--my daughter highly recommends!

I introduced my 3 and 5 years olds to the Bear in the Big Blue House when I found a bargain potty-training DVD at Walmart. I'm happy to find more titles here to add to our collection. My son loves all rescue heroes, especially firefighters, so this DVD is a favorite. My daughter enjoys it too, especially the music.

This childhood classic has now engaged my children in learning while watching a wholesome television show. I love it!

Replacement Movie for my Son

I purchased several Bear in the Big Blue House dvds. My grandchildren love them all. I provided day care for two grandchildren 15 years ago and had the bear on vhs. New generation, now have triplet grandchildren and they are 2 and love all the Bear videos.

My daughter had the tape of this and it began to warp so I was glad to find this in DVD form to replace it for her. This DVD is one of her favorites.

My son is Autisic an its all about the box if has wrinkles or tears he won't except it. This box had a big piece ofgray tape on it.Bear in the Big Blue House Birthday Parties
