Works exactly as described.
This 2m extender allows you to separate the head of the AD200 from the main body. Doing this you can then use a pouch or cover or even another screw adaptor and have the body further down any light stand you're using. This could easily save your AD200 if the stand falls / blows over. The screen will be less exposed and the body much less likely to take the impact. The head also allows you to use the X1T or X2T and mount your flash head on the camera. One good/bad thing I found is that while the head does contain tilt/swivel they are controlled by a lock button, so it's not particularly easy to change the flash head position if you're bouncing the flash and flipping between landscape and portrait.I'm now looking at getting a 2nd one of these for use with my 2nd AD200 and my AD-B2 dual head mount, again, mainly so I can attach the actual AD200 bodys much lower on any light stand for stability.

A fantastic option offering an additional level of protection, and also great for event photography
The EC-200 is a fantastic optional cable for the Godox Ad200.The two reasons I bought the EC-200 was:(1) I shoot mainly outdoors on location, and so to reduce any damage to my Godox AD200 unit should the wind tip my light stand over, I have a level of protection. See attached photos. As you can see the weight of the AD200 is on a c-clamp at the base of the light-stand and not at the top, and if the light stand did tip over the Ad200 would not make contact with the ground, but you may damage the bulb at top, but is cheap to replace.(2) The second reason is for events, were I can use the EC200 cable to mound my flash head onto a pistol grip and the AD200 in a pouch fastened to my belt, giving me plenty of fast recycling power and long lasting battery life.

A must have extension.
If you need to have a very light weight remote mono head unit this is the one to have with nearly 2m of cable at your disposal for the AD 200. With hot shoe and flash head + bare bulb attachment is a must.have it is so versatile. Godox products have made the lighting tool's available to all of us at great prices.

A must have bit of kit for every AD200
The AD200 range has changed the way I shoot, but the EC200 has changed it further. I often shoot outside in rain. I can keep the unit dry and now set up the flash head and put a simple cover of it to protect it - whilst keeping all the 200w of power. I can mount the light easily in trees too without fear of damaging the main unit. I have one for both units and would not be without them. I have upgraded from canon flashes recently and can be a lot more creative.

Works fine once you get it set up
I bought this because I was afraid that the heavy battery on the AD200 would make the unit a bit top heavy on a light stand. This way the battery can be attached lower down the stand. It works fine except that it's a bit fiddly to attach - takes a bit of juggling around as though the connection is slightly misplaced.

Does what it says on the tin!
A niche product for a niche purpose! Allows you to separate the flash head from the body of the AD200, as such you get the full 200w/sec power of the head mounted on your hotshoe for situations where an off camera flash solution is not practical. If you do decide to purchase don't forget a case for the main flash body... Put it in the back pocket of your jeans will cause them to fall down!

Makes the AD200 a on-camera flash almost.
I can now mount the head of the flash on an extending arm off a camera cage which makes a great macro flash. Yes I have to use a x-pro on the camera to trigger the flash and carry the battery in a pouch on me with the cable wrapped around, but it gives me a complete hand held unit.

Excellent piece of kit!
Makes using the AD200 in a modifier much simpler. The length of the cable is good. It makes using the light much simpler and more versatile overall either using a modifier or any of the accessories. Definitely recommend!
