Overall this is a very good item, very sturdy. Only issue i had was i had to use different fixings to the ones provided as they would fall appart so there was nothing for the bolt/screw to bite in to.

Absolutely rock solid hangers for floating shelf.
These are a brilliant design. I was fitting a floating shelf all around a room at high level. Fortunately, two of the walls are solid brick, which this bracket is ideal for. You do have to get the holes to insert the rod perfectly perpendicular to the wall so the shelf sits square. I discovered this on my first wall where the shelf was sloping forward slightly. Fortunately, there's a bookcase under part of it to prop it up level. I invested in a drill mount after that to make sure the others would be level and that did the trick. The drill mount was also essential for drilling the hole in the back of the shelf perfectly straight. With two big screws in each of these brackets, I am confident that I could have swung from them and they wouldn't have moved. Needs quite a bit of engineering to get them up properly, but these shelves are never coming down!

Poor quality control, fixing plate is incorrect angle, had to return
Poor quality control, fixing plate is welled at incorrect angle, not usable, will have to return, not at all happy, this should have been fixed at manufacture.

Best hidden brackets for beams.
I liked the look in description of the extra support rod. This proved an excellent feature to support my oak beam 6’ x 6”x 6”.. I actually bought & used 2 pairs but sure 1 pair would have been sufficient in my mind.
