My wife and I installed it yesterday. It was very easy to install and it looks great. I looked at other options before selecting this one. The biggest advantage that this has over the others is that you can open the shades from inside the trailer without first having to open the screen or entry door! I don't want to have to open the door to look out when it is cold outside, or in inclement weather. That would get old very quick. The shades can be adjusted to allow as much light or privacy that I want. I am going camping next week and will be testing it out. The window is not tinted, but If need to, I can always put a window film tint that are sold in all hardware and auto stores. I highly recommend it to other RV owners.

Took about 45 minutes on my own to install this window. Some pros are that it's a tempered glass to match my other windows on the trailer. Some tips though, I wouldn't rely on the putty they provide as the sole means to create a watertight seal. I added some window silicone to under the outside frame of the window--and black silicone around the inside edge of the window and frame--as well since I don't believe that window putty is the total solution to waterproofing something and having it last a long time. Also, I saw some reviews saying that the shade fell off after a few uses. It's important to clean the window completely before sticking on the window shade. This will help keep the stickers in place and create the hold.

I like that I can move the shade without opening the door. I also like the tinted glass. Good idea, but a little hard to open and when it is open, you still have lines in your view, since it slides it is only 1/2 open. Also, for the money it should have come with a new frame for the window, and the shade part is a little "flimsy".I purchased a tinted/shade replacement for the other camper door window and it came with the new frame, better putty around the window for $30 less. Draw-back. I have to open the door to raise the shade on the other one.

I should have read the instructions all the way through before beginning. If your camper glass was previously replaced with smooth or tinted glass in my case you can skip to the part where you clean the glass and attach the shade. Super easy to install, fits great and it’s easy to open and close for privacy and to block light. Well worth the money for us.

The owner took great care of me when ordered the correct item, but was sent the incorrect one! Installation was very easy once I had a window installed. The Texas flag version is a nice touch!

Installation was easy. Take out old one and put in new tinted glass. Hardest part was cleaning old caulking from the frame. I love this window! I can see out or close the shutter to block out light. I only wish it had come with a new black frame. All my other windows are framed in black on the outside. I don't know why they put a different color on the door.

The frosted glass window in the door of my camper was very bothersome to me. I started looking for a replacement that had a shade. I found this replacement with tinted glass (matches the rest of my windows), it is also provided with a shade that you can open even with the door shut!I spent about a hour installing it and LOVE it! Very simple design that should last as long as my camper does.Now if someone knocks on my door, I can easily open the shade and see who it is.This "kit" comes with the tinted glass, the rope chalk and the shade and shade handle. It doesn't come with the window frame, (you remove and reuse the existing frame).If you want to know how well I liked it, just know my camper has 2 doors and I just ordered another one exactly like the one I have already installed.

Two pieces of cheap plastic with strpies painted on them, slide one to line up the stripes. Not room darkening. It's been installed for 3 weeks and I am already having trouble sliding the pieces of plastic. Probably not going to last long. For the price it is a total RIPOFF. UPDATE: just bought and installed the “window shade” rv door window shade in the other door of my rv, it is a much better product, quality build and a much lower price (79$ on amazon).
