I cannot open the battery compartment at the bottom . the screw keep spinning but does not come loose. how does it open? - joe griffin 08--8-2018

The screw has to be completely unscrewed out of the unit. Maybe the metal receiver is spinning or the lock snap ring is missing.

Does this device work with the mgrs or military grid reference system?

does this unit display land elevation?

Only with optional mapping it will show contour elevations. With my sportrak maps I always load an optional topo of the buyers area... If you want a larger area than the map has room for go with the sportrak pro....

Can i buy a new battery pack for this gps?

They only have a battery tray for two AA batteries that screws into the unit. If anyone has one it will be expensive. I have only one.
