POOR Packaging for Shipment
Purolator is a great filter that I've relied on for years (after having cut open one of the brand I had been using and one of the Purolators to confirm what I'd seen in an online report). They do what they are supposed to do. But Amazon's "just as good as a box envelopes" are NOT just as good as a box. Several items have arrived either damaged or with damaged mfr package (making not suitable as a gift). The pair of filters I ordered arrived quickly -but with one box crushed a bit, and the other ripped -totally useless for protecting the filter from contamination. Return is fairly easy, but an avoidable inconvenience, waste of energy, packaging, product, etc. -contrary to the stated intent of the packaging.
