House of Dorchester 12 Choc Rose and Violet Creams

They look delicious, smell delicious and taste delicious. Had many rose and violet cream chocolates before but these are by far the best. Shame they aren't always available, even via Amazon.

Got these as a treat for my mama as her favourite chocolate shop is shut due to covid. Purchased them once at Christmas and they arrived perfect. This time they arrived crumbled/looking a bit worse for wear so wouldn’t be good gift wise. I’m sure she will eat them- they will be more broken where they are going. Disappointed though

If you love Rose and Violet creams as I do, these are the best I've tried. Absolutely delicious. Dorchester chocolates are always lovely. If you can't get to Belgium or any of the big stores like Harrods where they sell gift wrapped hand made chocolates, these are the next best thing. I was so pleased to find them on Amazon. Perfect as a mother's Day gift for my mum, who is also a fan. Well worth the price

These Dorchester Rose and Violet Creams have been a favourite for years with good quality, dark chocolate and smooth, creamy fillings with an authentic flavour. These chocolates are very moreish and delicious - full marks to the creators.One thing which has been known about for a long time and which should have been remedied is that the cover of the box is a thin clear, acetate. Unfortunately as the chocolates are garnished with a piece of crystallised rose or violet the chocolates invariably arrive with these garnishes broken off. This damage makes the box unsuitable to give as a gift.Even in shops where you can retail these chocolates many of the rose/violets will have broken off. This problem could be corrected by proper packaging. If people are willing to pay for a luxury item they will likely be discerning about the quality/presentation - this latter point seems lost on the makers of these otherwise fine chocolates.

Awful , these are my favourite chocolates normally but the fondant on some of them is set so hard you would break your teeth to eat them, they have also lost some of the normal flavour , they have obviously been stored in the wrong conditions and whilst are still in date until February would normally be sold with a much longer shelf life

I bought these for my wife's birthday as she loves violet creams, but, on receiving them, the box was not very well packed and the violet tops on several had been knocked off.On tasting the first one my wife found that the fondant was so set it was rock hard. I was offered one and found the same very hard fondant filling. We tried a third and found that as it should have been, soft and flowing.So to say we have been disappointed is an understatement particularly as they were not cheap.I have not yet decided to send them back but believe if these are going to be sold online, they need to be fresh - the BB date is 2.2.22. which is well within what we would expect.

I was absolutely flabbergasted when these arrived. For pretty pricey chocolates they looked really cheap and had some foreign debris swimming around inside the cheap looking box.I decided to complain to the manufacturers (surprisingly British!) instead of returning them to Amazon so filled in the company's complaints form online. Submit. Didn't work. Submit. Didn't work. Third time lucky? NO!I rang them. Option 1 for customer service. Didn't work. Try again. Didn;t work. Finally chose a random option number and by a lucky coincidence I got the nice lady who deals with complaints! (probably deals with everything!!)She listened and apologised and hopefully passed my complaint on. She also sent me another box straight from the factory. It arrived very quickly and at least didn't have any foreign matter inside.Can't comment on the taste as they're a Christmas for my daughter but for the price they could certainly smarten up the packaging.
