Thsre are multiple reviews stating the bottles came broken and no option to return the product. Anything done to improve packaging?

I ordered 4 of these for gifts last year and one of them had a broken bottle in it. There was no way to return via Amazon, but I contacted the seller directly and they sent a replacement immediately at no charge and didn't even ask me to return the broken one. Excellent customer service, you just need to call or email them if that happens.

Do the ingredients have an expiration date? I want to give it as a Christmas gift

Your Hot Sauce Making kit does have a Best By date, however as long as the pepper mash jars are sealed it will be good. Pepper Mash can be aged for years and the vinegar and the seasoning do not expire. If your kit came out of the last batch that was sent to Amazon FBA, then it should have a Best By date of Mar 30, 2022.
