The Interesting Narrative of the Life of Olaudah Equiano, Or Gustavus Vassa, The African: Written by Himself Paperback – February 17, 2017

I am enjoying this book. Although heart wrenching, it is a good read. I don’t care for the format, the book is magazine sized and I’d rather it be a standard paperback size.

It serves the purpose it was purchased for

Found it hard to put down when reading. A very interesting read as written by a person who actually lived in these times. The fascination of his new surroundings mixed with his terrifying fear you could really understand how he felt.

I did wonder several times if all the stories could be real, especially when he talks about giant seahorses ganging up on a boatful of sailors....but generally an interesting read and insight into life of the times.
