Plastic pump for 16 oz Jar - also special designed for heavy duty creams

Plastic pump saves mess of dipping into jar
This is the second pump I had to order since the first one didn't work. This one was also difficult to get opened, but after some hard work turning the pump, it did eventually open. It seems to work well now that I have it open. I've only started using it, so I don't know how long it will last. It does save me from having to dip into the jar to get out the conditioner for my hair and it is easier to control the amount I use.

Plastic Pump for 16 oz Jar, also works with 19 oz CeraVe Cream Jar
Update: June 7, 2015Unfortunately I had to revise my review of this pump. It broke after 10 days of use. The pump separated from the lid, rendering it useless. It was only used twice a day and should have lasted a lot longer because I consider that "normal" use and not heavy duty use. It may be fine for thin, watery lotions, but it will only last a short time for thicker creams and lotions. I'll be looking for a replacement.Original review: May 28, 2015I bought this pump for use in a 19 oz size jar of CeraVe Moisturizing Cream purchased at Costco. The Costco size is slightly larger (19 oz vs 16 oz) than what I usually find in my local stores. I was worried that this pump would be too short to reach the bottom of the jar because some reviews indicated that might be the case. However, the pump I received was actually too long. After a quick trim with a pair of scissors, the pump was a perfect fit. The first few pumps (to "prime" it) were a little hard to pump. Now it works great - but remember if you are using this with the CeraVe Cream - it is a CREAM not a lotion. The CeraVe Cream is thicker (in a good way) and therefor the "pumping" will always need more pressure than pumping a thin lotion.I really like this pump and will keep to use in my next jar of CeraVe Cream.

This pump has worked well for me. I know other have not been as fortunate. I chose this pump over another with a shorter straw. I cut the straw to the length I needed for my Cerave tub. I haven't gotten to the bottom of the tub yet, but I see no reason why it doesn't do a good job right down to the bottom layer but I'll wait to see. No more oily mess on the tub and I can place it on my bedside to use before I got to sleep. Never able to do that before and a hygiene boost as well. No problem with breakage or malfunction. Will update if anything untoward happens.

Great pump even for thicker creams, etc
Now it is so easy to use my CeraVe Moisture Cream. It works smoothly and without any problems pumping. To unscrew the pump when you get it, berfore you put it on the jar grab the bottom "stem" and hold it tightly while you turn the pump (oops, I forget which way I turned it.. but you can do it, I have faith in you!). It will pop up in just a few turns and you're all set to go. I put this in because I was trying to do it while it was on the jar and it just kept spinning... not fun. Enjoy!

This is pretty heavy duty and I expect it to last a long time.
I used this for a 16 oz tub of CeraVe cream. Works great even though the cream is thick. The tub needs to be shaken when the tub gets low to redistribute the cream closer to the pump intake. Nature of cream so not really a way to solve that.

Ugly
The pump sits “sideways” and its an ugly peach color—I wanted white as shown in the pic. Very cheap looking. But it pumps out my conditioner so.....

... the pump plastic tube down some and it works fine with the Matrix Biolage Conditioning Balm for Dry Hair
I trimmed the pump plastic tube down some and it works fine with the Matrix Biolage Conditioning Balm for Dry Hair. The balm is very thick but this pump does work.

Great pump
Needed a pump for hand lotion. Said this was for the type bought. It worked great after I cut down the stem to fit.
