Very thorough information and easy to follow! This helped me to condense the textbook into shorter easier to memorize sections.

Very useful tool, albeit incomplete. I found the practice test to be helpful and I appreciate the fact that the chapters provided an overview of all content areas. However, these overviews were very much "skim-of-the-surface." It takes a lot more than just this book to achieve a passing score (that is unless, of course, you are just completing a Kinesiology program in college in which case you should be fine). The tips it gives are very helpful. All in all, it's worth the money even if it doesn't stand on it's own.Suggestion: in addition to using this book make sure to download the ACSM practice test app (and other PT apps, too). For several weeks leading up to the test I took these practice exams on my phone over and over and over again until I was acing them all. If you do that, plus get this book, plus read up on anything you don't understand, you should be fine.

I like this book a lot. It takes the massive amount of information from the textbook and streamlines it. I'm glad I bought it.

Very pleased with my entire experience

Do not get me wrong this book arrived in perfect condition and was intact. However, it is not a study guide that is going to help you pass the ACSM cpt exam. I passed my ACSM cpt exam but it was not due to studying this book. I guess if you need some basic information because you literally do not know anything then this book is okay to give you some information to study. This book does not have any of the formula's in it that are necessary to study for the exam, and it does not include the seven sites for skin folds or where they are located. You do not need to know the insertion points of all of the muscles, that was made clear in one of the workshops that I attended. This book barely grazes the top of the information you need to know. My point is if you know absolutely nothing about anatomy & physiology and what not then go ahead and purchase the book. However, in my opinion, for me it was a waste of money that I could have spent on one of the ACSM's books. The ACSM certification review book has much better questions and provides actual case studies, which are more similar to the questions on the exam.

All of the information you need to get through the CPT certification is in here. The readings can be hard to follow if this is your first time reading the information, but if you have a good knowledge background it will be a good investment. The practice test is also very helpful. Very responsive seller, they sent me free learning videos with my online book.

I am very nervous to take this exam and have put off taking it for a year after finishing my course at Greenville tech. This is helping me a lot to narrow Down what is important and to refresh my memory after a year.
