New BalanceMen's 577 V1 Lace-Up Shoe

Hubby loves them. He said they are the best style of New Balance for prolonged standing and walking. He appreciates that the extra wide is truly extra wide.Shoes appear well made and durable. Nothing flashy about these shoes, but they are comfortable and practical and the price won't break the bank.

These are so comfortable and fit perfectly for an extra wide shoe size person. They are durable, long lasting and we have purchased them in different colors or slightly different styles. We are very pleased with New Balance.

Fit good & comfortable.

I wore these on vacation in Spain for 2 months. I walked an average of 5 miles a day and they held up extremely well. I was walking on cobblestones much of the time. They really are XX wide which really helped. They have become my favorite shoes to wear everyday.

I have used New Balance for many years. This pair is just a little short. No problem, I will just return them and get one size bigger. Problem! Where I have dropped off before Amazon wants to charge me $6.99. Never had that problem before. If I take it to Staples Drop Off, no charge. Problem for me is Staples is a 30 mile trip. Well Amazon you win, I won't return any thing ever again.

The media could not be loaded.  So I am a woman and have been looking high and low for dressy-ish sneakers that can accommodate my orthotics. It has been challenging and there are not many options. These remind me of Nike low vision court sneakers which I view as fashion sneakers that match many outfits. These sneakers are too short in length which has never happened to me before with men’s shoes. The length is not correct for the size. I’m wearing a men’s 7.5 extra wide 4E width which is my usual size and it feels like I’m wearing a men’s size 7 wide 2E width or maybe even just a men’s 7 and regular width (D). This sneaker absolutely runs small in length and width. The shoe is hard and all “leather” not sure if it’s real leather or not. Because of this you can tell that if you wear these shoes as true walking shoes they will not last long. The front of the sneakers leather will crease and crack over time if you bend the front of your front foot too much while walking, making these shoes pretty delicate and you will have to be conscious of how you walk to preserve them. These are sneakers made for style and not so much function. My orthotics fit inside of them which is great. I have flat feet and overpronate. In my opinion the sneakers are supportive enough for my ankles to help with the overpronation but there is no arch support. These sneakers would absolutely not be comfortable for all day everyday use because the sole is very hard and almost platform-ish and the entire shoe is hard. There’s no flexibility anywhere whatsoever. I was looking for casual dressy shoes that can accommodate my orthotics that I can wear with casual dresses and for semi dressy occasions. I think these sneakers fit the bill. I hope if I size up and purchase a size 8 extra wide width (4E) they will fit and not be too large.
