Best lock I have ever used, e-bike 2 locks works great

I had to graduate from a simple cable lock for my beat-up hybrid bikes to something a little more secure for a modern Class 3 E-bike. This folding lock is moderately secure, enough for shorts stops and more where I ride. The length is sufficient to lock a bike frame around a good size post or other sturdy object, and simple to operate. While it's not light, it's not ridiculously heavy. Most importantly, it easily fits into the side pocket of a small rear rack bag. The lock itself is coated with a soft material so it won't scar your bike during use. Not as secure as a U-lock, but more versatile. And not as heavy or as bulky as a similar size chain lock. Seem like a good compromise between security and weight for those riding in a rural or suburban environment or for short stops for lunch or shopping.

I am rating the lock not Amazon's delivery, so I'll give it 5 stars. The lock is sturdy and easy to mount and use. No, it wouldn't stand up to a grinder, but I never leave the bike out of public sight or for very long. It's not too heavy and fits my folder perfectly. Next day delivery took over a week and a customer service call but other than that it was great.

This review is for the Kryptonite Keeper 510 Folding Lock, 3mm x 100cm. While it seems well-made, it is losing a star for design and because the item description lacks pictures or details of the end that connects to the lock body. I'll provide them in hopes that others get the info they actually need to order the right product. The end that connects is a 45mm (1 3/4") circle that is 20mm (3/4") thick. This massive size makes it impossible to pass through the holes in the front wheel of the E2 Pro. Due to the 100cm length, there is no way to wrap the lock around the scooter base or stem that isn't easily defeated by just slipping the scooter (handlebars or base) through the non-adjustable loop. It's a shame Kryptonite doesn't include the most critical measurement or at least even a photo of the locking end. I guess I'll hang onto this lock for a bicycle (obviously passing it through a frame is no issue) and order something else for the e-scooter.

The flexible hinges allow you to wrap this around, oddly shaped objects. It folds up nicely and stows on the bike easily. I lock and unlock my bike multiple times per day and this particular bike makes that task much simpler and quicker.

The lock itself works well enough, it's kinda clever. I'd recommend the larger size for e-bikes as they are chunky in design. But make sure you have panniers on your bike if your bike lacks mounting holes in the frame bars as mine does. The bracket Allegion includes is a third-rate design, unusable in real life. After tightening, it slips down down down after a few bumps in the road. I'd be embarrassed to have designed this thing. Worth looking at the competing Foldylock product.

There are many obvious strengths and weaknesses to this lock. It's relatively easy to transport. Not terribly heavy. It expands to encompass unusual shapes and sizes. I don't think it would be easy to pick, but it wouldn't withstand a brute force attack. But if you already have a strong U-lock in place, adding this folding lock on top means a bicycle thief is going to have to put in extra time to get through two (or more) locks and they generally won't take the risk. It's a good second lock. It's a good lock if you're only going to be away from your bike for a short time.

The lock feels sturdy and well-made. It's a bit heavy, but I suppose that's necessary. It comes with two sets of keys and is very easy to fold and unfold. I recommend it without hesitation.

Perfect product to me especially for my scooter in my location, whenever I go to the mall or grocery I don't worry that I will be lost it or someone will gonna steal it! right weight, right size right price, and the quality are ok for me.

Yesterday this lock kept my bike safe against what looks like an aggressive bolt-cutter attack. The thieves tried to cut through both the arms and the joints. They were only able to put a small groove in the steel of the arms, and weren't able to separate the joints either. I think the lock's price might be higher than some knock-off versions, but in return you get quality theft-resistant materials.
