A solid book on the Mississippi Choctaws
Lot's of serious description and political history of the Choctaw in Mississippi, which is where they originally lived. Tends to get a bit speculative about motives behind the events though. I'm glad I bought and read this book.

Well worth the price and time
I thought this book was a little pricey for a paperback but it is well written and worth your time to read it. This book was on my daughter's wish list and I bought it for her 40th birthday.

A very good book on Choctaw history presented with amazing facts a must have for any history fan
Searching for the Bright Path is truly a great Native American historical book to read presented with multiple facts about the Mississippi Choctaws. As many other reviewers have pointed out it is an easy read book 133 pages of material follow by the index of where the material came from. As for myself I was a history major in college and this was one of the books I ended up reading for the class, it is well written and if your a fan of Native American history or history in general buy this book and see for yourself how impressive it is of a book to read to add to your knowledge. In closing I don't plan on keeping the book buy plan to add it to my mother's collection of books for she enjoys Native American history a lot.
