roll them on
Work wonderful. I read how other people had a hard time putting these on. I discovered that by rolling them on and then working them to the correct spot worked great.

A great upgrade for your rolling pins
Game changer for baking. Consistent cookie thickness every time. Got them for making a ton of gingerbread houses for a party and the pieces all baked evenly and precisely the same.

Smaller three worked well
The three thinner rings worked nicely on my straight rolling pin but the thickest one was too loose. The openings on the thinner three were all 4 cm while the thickest one (blue) had an opening of 5 cm.

Cookies, biscuits and rolls, oh my!
So easy to use and they take the guess work out of rolling dough. Not that this is a life or world changing problem, but when cookies (biscuits and rolls too) are different thicknesses, they bake differently. Some are done when others are not, and it's not easy to keep looking in the oven and removing the ones that are done. Presentation is a factor when making things (Christmas cookies) for others so this is a very convenient gadget. This is especially useful when rolling out dough for thin, crispy crackers. No more thick areas or too thin burnt areas. I roll the dough on parchment and then move it easily onto a cookie sheet. All the crackers turn out perfect. Nice!

Difficult to put on
Attempted to put on 1/4” band. Extremely difficult it is so tight. Put bands in hot water, but there is not much flexibility. It took me and my husband to get the bands on. 1:8 band seemed to have a little give, but have not tried the others.

Work well to keep your dough at a set thickness
Makes rolling your dough quite easy and nice. Ive only used the two thicker sizes, the thin ones seem too thin for anything Id need them for. I've only make cookie dough with them. They fit nicely on my Fat Daddio rolling rod. The only problem I have found is that they can deform a bit if you press to hard on your rolling pin. They squish and can change the thickness of your dough. You just have to be careful to use a less and less force as you get closer to your desired thickness.

Rings fit two different size rolling pins
I was excited to get these because I needed the rings that allow you to roll items to 3/8 inch thickness. Most of these sets only have a 1/4 inch and a 1/2 inch. However, when I got them, I realized that the inner diameter of the rings varied wildly. As a matter of fact, the green rings fit almost completely within the inner diameter of the blue rings. You would need to use two different rolling pins. They look to be a decent quality and should be durable, but I need all of the rings to fit on the same same size rolling pin. I actually don’t even care if it’s an American rolling pin or the thinner fondant pin.

Fit on rolling pin
The spacers are tight to get on especially the 1/4 inch spacer but they fit my two inch rolling pin and stay in place to ensure the dough is an even consistency. Expect it will loosen up a bit with frequent use. There is no smell to the bands and the size is easily distinguishable by colour.

Size of rolling pin bands
Only the blue bands fit my rolling pins. I am not going to buy more rolling pins to fit the bands. I am going to give the other bands to Goodwill and maybe someone can use them. Next time I will have to pay better attention to the description of the items purchased.
